The Ferguson is the North Shores No.1 Student Bar tucked away in the heart of Massey University. Your experiences with us can range from large music focused events, international DJ performances to private functions and regular day time trading.

With over 400 people through the doors every Thursday, along with huge annual electronic music events such Sounds Of The Underground curated by the illustrious collective WE MOUVE, need we say more? With top tier international DJ’s now stopping by on the regular alongside some of New Zealand’s top music acts, your experiences with us will be second to none.

Was pushed down the stairs by a bouncer there so hard it broke my ankle and thumb. Tried talking to the manager about it but was basically yelled at by him. He claimed I was lying and jump down the stairs by myself. Had purchased tickets to a show there before this happened and when I tried to go to the show I was denied access because I was disabled. Even through the bar was who disabled me! Not impressed. Do not support this business!

It's a shame I can't leave a half star review cause wow. $20 door charge? Really? It's a widely known fact that students are broke! Door charges in town aren't even that stupidly priced. Staff were incredibly rude and the entire place is a total scam.

We had more fun in the car on the way there. Also a $20 door charge is ridiculous especially with no event, hostile employees, and 12 year olds.

Music tends to be really loud but it's a fun place. Gets busy after 10:30pm, so turning up earlier is a good idea if you don't want to wait in line.
