I have been attending this Medical Practise & have known Dr John Hiennrich for yrs. Any doctor I have seen in the practice I could not speak more highly of. At present my father & I are being seen by Dr Dan Han & could not speak my highly of him he will go out of his way especially with the elderly to investigate fully their problems. However some of the frount counter staff especially one in particular needs to reassess her attitude to patients as people are saying that's she is nothing but rude & uncaring to people. Maybe she should seek medical help herself for her poor attitude or rethink her job there as it is giving the surgery an extremely bad name. I have spoken to many people while attending the practise that they are thinking about changing doctors due to the stress of having to deal with certain counter staff in particular. If this happens again I will enlighten her to my opinion of her unhappy nasty little attitude as she is loosing goods doctors business.
Very rude reception staff, I dread calling this centre as the front desk staff have no empathy. I was not even able to finish a sentence before they interrupted with no appointments available. Such a shame as my family doctor is so lovely and the practice is being let down by the receptionists.
The front counter staff are straight up rude Karen’s. the doctors are never on time for your appointment, don’t bother coming in 10 minutes early because you’ll be waiting 30 minutes minimum to an hour+ past your supposed “booked” appointment, every time . Long story short make sure you have nothing to do for a couple hours after your booked time otherwise you will be rescheduling your other errands. I believe the staff need a lot more training before they are even close to running The Doctors on Erin street professionally.
I've been a patient here since before they moved into the current building. I have found in the last 6 months the quality of this clinic has dropped dramatically. Out of the current receptionist only 1 is friendly and helpful, I usually book online as I don't want to talk to a receptionist due to there attitude, abruptness and lack of care. I have had appointments changed without consultation especially long appointments which are made online and because of multiple reasons I need to see my doctor for only to go into the room and be told it's a standard appointment and the doctors only has time for one thing. This morning I rang at 7am to try to book an appointment today, the automatic response came on but when the receptionist to the call I was greeted with please hold a couple of times. Then it was I need to put you to a different phone, then it was I'm having computer issues, however you DID NOT put me on hold correctly and I could hear the receptionist I had been talking to making others appointments. By the time the receptionist came back to me and to book my appointment 9 minutes had passed and their were no appointments left. I love my usual doctor and the other couple I see when he is away but with the way your reception is being run I am very seriously considering leaving the practice. I understand that the receptionist positions deal with a lot but your turn over is super high and very frustrating to deal with. Update: Thank you to the practice manager for ringing and being able to sort a couple of issues out.
I ran out of my medication. tried to get an appointment just for a script. Thay called me hrs later unfortunately I was on the phone as thay where calling. I called back straight away thay said that I missed out. I begged to get a script as it's been days since iv had my pills and I am feeling unwell I stated this was a serious situation. She said she would put me on cancellation list again. Never heard from them again.
Can never see the doctor you have built trust with unless you book weeks in advance. Admin staff are useless and extremely rude. They are more about getting you out the door than doing their jobs. The whole setup is more about money that medical care.
I don’t ever write reviews and I consider myself to be a pretty friendly person. This place would have to be the worst Doctors I’ve ever been to. I’ve been there 3 times. Staff old and young at the counter are rude. I booked for a Covid vaccine, arrive there and then get told they had none left for today so had to come back another day for it. Thanks for the heads up. Staff did apologize but it’s just not on. I have a baby and had organized for someone to look after her while I went to the doctors. Ended up being a massive waste of time and effort. I’ve had 3 different doctors. 2 were nice, 1 wasn’t. As soon as I walked into the room and sat down she said “so what’s up?” very bluntly. Just not professional whatsoever. It was clear she hated her job. I don’t blame her but at least pretend to be interested otherwise please leave for everyone’s benefit.
Mother is in her 80s, with a bad chest infection. Has taken a rat test, came back negative, has heart issues as well. Is told to wait in car, doctor will come to her. Made to feel like a leaper, because she is sick. Will be finding another dr.
Reception staff rude, wait for 40 minutes for covid booster because unlike other medical facilities you wait in the doctors room for 15 minutes after your vax instead of the reception area ….. turns a 5 minute appointment into an hour. Super glad I was only visiting for a one off booster - wouldn’t recommend at all
If Google allowed it, I would rate this ‘clinic’ a minus zero star. I care about my health especially when I am travelling internationally. I expect that a Doctor would care about me and my health too. I have been a patient at WtMed since January 2018. I have had numerous appointments with three different Doctors whilst I have been a patient here but Dr Gunhouse has been my primary Doctor. I am travelling to Africa next week and I called the reception this morning to ask to speak to Dr Gunhouse about my travel medications. I was refused and told to make an appointment which is not possible because I am now residing on the Gold Coast. I asked the receptionist if I could make an appointment with Dr Gunhouse but have the appointment via phone instead. This request was still refused. I called the reception 30 minutes later and asked to speak to the Manager as I was unhappy with the unsatisfying responses given regarding my concerns about my travel medications. I spoke with the manager, Sherrie. She said I can have a phone appointment but I will be charged a standard consultation fee and the amount would not be able to be claimed back with Medicare!!! This is scandalous considering I would only need to clarify a few things with Dr Gunhouse. Which he should have specified when I had my appointment with him!!! She then had the nerve to suggest I call my pharmacist for information which is absurd because he did not prescribe me the medication... Dr Gunhouse did!!! The phone call I requested would have occupied less than two minutes of Dr Gunhouse’s time. When I have had appointments with him I would be waiting 45-60 minutes just in his room alone! I would always feel rushed because he was behind on his scheduled appointments. That is not my fault as I am very punctual to my appointments. So this is even more disheartening to be refused a minuscule phone call. I just needed and wanted Dr Gunhouse to clarify when to commence my medications as he did not clarify this crucial instruction to me on my travel medications summary or the actual prescription for the pharmacist to even direct me! I have no information in or on my medication bottle and boxes... I have spent hundreds of dollars on medications and vaccinations for my holiday to Africa. I am not going to allow you to treat me like this and think it is okay!!! In 2017, I lived in Sydney and saw a Doctor there. I was able to contact her via phone if I had a concern or question with my medications. I am very disappointed and displeased with this inadequate ‘healthcare’ service. It is apparent to me and hopefully to every one else who will read this review that you lack the ‘health’ and the ‘care’ towards your patients. You appear to be money orientated... I hope your bussiness goes down. I will not refer anyone to this Clinic or Doctor. Regards, Natalie Gorring
