We had the breakfast burritos, a milkshake and a tea and everything was amazing! The burritos were huge and full of flavour, the milkshake was delicious and the tea was perfect. Thank you for having us, best breakfast we've had in Melbourne on our stay

Worst pancakes I’ve ever had. They were like rubber and couldn’t eat them. Didn’t come with the chocolate mascarpone as advertised and the fairy floss topping was a melted glob of unchewable sugar. Only edible part was the fruit on the side. Coffee was good but overall a massive disappointment.
This is my go to cafe in this area. My latte was really nice and chili scrambled eggs was just perfect. friendly staffs, good atmosphere to sit and reading.
Coffee wasn’t great. Ordered ham hock which was a salad - looked great on the plate however lacked flavour. The Okonomiyaki with egg was tasty - could’ve been better with a crunch element. The lamb salad was alright. The burrito was tasty.
The go to cafe in Highett. It can get very busy on weekends, however the wait is worth it. Great coffee and an interesting selection of breakfast and brunch menu items - not your standard fare which is a good change. The service is always good and served with a smile.
I say it was average. As what all top chef always say... your eyes feast but your heart eats out. Good food is good food. When you experience something extraordinary it's an amazing experience. The Diplomats meals is a somewhere in the middle. So there's more room for improvement. I'll be back for more. And its kids friendly environment.
If someone asks me to recommend a place to have brunch in the bayside area, diplomat cafe comes out top on my list. Forget your usual eggs Ben and avo mash. Brunch served here screams fusion food. Can't imagine it? Check out the photos. Best part? The menu changes periodically. I think they have recently changed their coffee beans and that was a good move. This current one is much better. Situated right in front of the highett train station the cafe is easy to find. Parking here will test your patience.

This is my favourite cafe!!!! We had pancake and soba salad. And it was really great. And staff also very nice and kind.I highly recommend here!!!Food: 5/5
