Story

sessions are a fun, effective strength & conditioning session made up of a balanced and progressive selected functional exercises with an emphasis on core condition.
sessions are 40-50mins long and include a directed mobility warm up and a stability cool down. The conditioning element is always a challenge and always enjoyable.

I started at The Den a couple of months ago and have never looked back. A great environment where you are not judged or surrounded by pretentious people. Actually it is the opposite, you work in teams which are inclusive and encouraging. Mick is a great trainer who caters for all fitness levels. Mick will take the time to check up on everyone and provide his expertise to help you get the most out of the workout. I recommend The Den to anyone who is looking for a new gym!

Joining the Den has been a great experience. As someone who has back issues and also done no fitness for over a decade to say I was nervous going to the gym would be an understatement. After 8 weeks I am still to have any issues with my back, in fact it feels a lot better. In terms of atmosphere there are people of all fitness levels and everyone encourages each other, so you never feel out of place. Mick and the other trainers all ensure you are doing things correctly. Every session is a challenge in a good way. Come along and try it, you will not regret it......

A motivating and positive gym experience! Mick is an awesome trainer who really takes the time to know and understand your fitness levels and goals and is always happy to answer questions. The Den makes you feel like you are part of a community rather than just a number like most other gyms. Love your work Mick and thank you for all you do!

I have been to so many gyms. I have been to cliquey, competitive, regimented gyms and fitness businesses and have never been able to properly find my groove... Until that is, I found The Den. From the first session I felt welcomed and appreciated. The Den environment is like no other. Not only do you reach your physical goals, but you do it in professional, friendly and successful environment. Mick can read your ability instantly and never expects more or never expects less than what you're capable of. I've loved every minute and what's more I hate missing a session. Couldn't recommend it enough.

I’ve been a member of various gyms, I have tried bootcamps, had a number of personal trainers and tried to follow programs on my own. Whilst I have had results in the past, nothing ever lasted more than a few months. I joined the Den in April 2016 and haven’t looked back. I try to go 5 mornings a week, which was always my goal but never seemed achievable. I would make excuses not to go, and not enjoy the exercises when I did go. The Den has such a great vibe, the people are friendly, and the exercises are hard but cater for people of all fitness levels. Mick, the trainer and owner of The Den, is genuine, motivating and friendly, making the whole process of joining and starting at a new gym so easy. He remembers everyone’s names and encourages people to work harder and become stronger. I have lost weight and toned up from training at The Den and would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys medium-high intensity training and wants results; whether that be weight loss, muscle gain, toning or just increasing fitness levels. Thanks to The Den team and clients for making this a gym I can't imagine not training at.
