The Country Chef Bakery Co. have been the Sunshine Coast's baking specialists since 1952, producing quality family favourite desserts and breads.

Story

Country Chef are baking specialists, based on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, who have been baking since 1952 and create Australia’s favourite desserts such as pavlovas and banana breads.

By combining our heritage and technical baking know how – with today’s ingredients, we have mastered family favourite desserts as well as breads featuring the latest ‘on-trend’ ingredients to nourish and delight taste buds.

We know how to add scale and a pinch of good old-fashioned service to our recipes and proudly established the business by supplying the Foodservice Sector. Many years later we now supply the major Foodservice Distributors including Bidvest, PFD and Countrywide as well as key customers including Woolworths, Coles, Qantas and 7 –Eleven.

Started by the Bartlett Brothers in the 1950s in Fortitude Valley, making popular desserts and sweets such as marshmallows, wafers, honeycomb and bakery favourites such as pikelets and crumpets, which were all delivered fresh daily. The Bartlett’s moved to Nambour on the Sunshine Coast in the 90s and as demand grew, expanded to their current site in Kunda Park in 2002.
