We arrived to see all empty tables full of dirty dishes. It was a public holiday so our total was over $80 for 3 drinks and 3 dishes. All of our poached eggs were overcooked and even after a 3rd attempt at coffees, they were still undrinkable. It was the worst coffee we have ever been served. The young waitress was amazing but the staff member taking orders while making coffees was rude and unapologetic.
The staff were lovely. But, the menu was old so they didn’t have all the things on there, there was a 45 min wait on sliders and pancakes, some of the food came out cold even frozen, they didn’t have white bread, the mugs were dirty, and it looked like the staff were trying to work out how to make things while they were making them. Used to love coming here but won’t be coming again.
If I could choose zero I would. At the start we asked for a bowl of coffee that they have available on display which they didn’t give us a bowl instead a small coffee. We ordered a burger which tasted like it was weeks old, three small pancakes and tasted like it was from a bottle mix and a serving of chips. The chips were the main issue. If you are paying $8 for chips you would expect a decent serving, not at this place. As one of the staff members was walking over he knocked our chips over all on the table about half then continued to pick them up and place them into the same container with his bare hands. I asked for a new serving and he continued to walk away. At the end I asked to speak to the manager and he was very rude and didn’t give a refund as we didn’t have a single chip. Terrible food, terrible customer service and awful restaurant/cafe. WON’T BE COMING BACK DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
The pancakes are not freshly made, rather premade and heated in the microwave, and they expect $15 for it! I was given a waffle instead, which I reluctantly accepted as they wouldn’t give me a refund! The waffles came out overdone really hard and dark. The 2 sauce toppings were awful. We could only eat the commercial ice-cream! The coffee tasted like cigarettes. Please sell your shop or get rid of your franchise so that you can offer only what you’re good at making. We don’t dine out for nothing! We expect the food to be better than house food.
All our meals came out at different times. 2 omelettes came out about 5 minutes apart and waffles served after another table served. Had to ask where they were. This is not acceptable in hospitality as all meals should come out at same time.
Coffee was great. Food was not, had big breakfast & ended up with a sore stomach. Husband got eggs benny on toast & toast was burnt. My meal came almost after my husband had finished his.
The coffee is terrible, service is poor. The food was ok. If you just want food and don't mind waiting it's worth a try but if you want a decent coffee and good service go elsewhere.Food: 2/5
They took 46.00 off us, we waited 30 mins only to receive ice cold melts. Retuned them and asked to get them heated. Waited another 15 mins to receive two new ice cold melts. Asked for our money back and were told, no, have a nice day. Shame on you shingle inn, it was inedible.
Terrible - DON'T GO HERE This was my sliders and chips, i asked and this is apparently the standard serve of haloumi and pickles
Friendly staff and great coffee. Clean and spacious with an impressive selection of snacks. Our new favourite café in Sunshine coast.
