If you're looking for somewhere warm and cosy this winter, then The Corner is for you! I absolutely adore this cafe – the vibes are impeccable, and the service is outstanding; I am always greeted with a joyful smile. Don't even get me started on the leaf chai – it is AMAZING. So delicious, and you get a teapot that fills multiple, yes MULTIPLE, cups of chai. They even put a super cute & always appreciated tiny teddy on the side, which makes my day. Yummy food, great people and the art pieces on the walls are absolutely divine. Coming here feels like coming home <3 Such a wonderful little gem in Gisborne and definitely worth coming to visit. I highly, HIGHLY recommend!
Lovely little corner Cafe. Great service especially for my friend who was walking with crutches. They went out of their way to see that we were seated outside comfortably. The food was simple but lovely. I didn't give five stars for the Atmosphere cause of the traffic noise but that's not their fault. Easy to chat with the staff. Even a friendly passer-by who helped move the table to a position less windy. Country hospitality.
Great coffee, great food, great staff. Staff were very helpful. Had a fresh sandwich made for me when I asked for one with no ham. Excellent coffees, homemade food was delicious. Very good value. Lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Quite a few vegetarian options in the display fridge as well as lots of sweet bakery items.

I had a double espresso, and loved it. Went back for a dirty chai, and it was bloody excellent. Very happy, and the best dirty chai we’ve had. We’ll be back. Thanks team.

My goodness the freshly baked muffin was so deeeeelicious and the coffee well balanced and robust. The service is quick and staff very friendly. What a gem!!
My husband and I had a quick stop into this Cafe to feed our 7 month old twins and toddler while visiting the town. We found the staff so lovely. Hubby accidentally spilt his coffee and without even asking they made him a new one. Highly recommend their Chai leaf tea!
