Had the worst wholemeal bread cheese and ham toastie this morning, expensive and very average. There was nothing special about it, in fact the bread was dry, like cardboard and when I looked inside there was a squirty piece of ham and tiny bit of cheese in it! Was very disappointing! However the coffee was much better!

This Coffee club has been a favourite for us over the past few months. Usually going on a Saturday and food and service is normally great. Unfortunately Sunday is a different story. Ordered the usual and it was not edible (poached egg and chips almost raw and omelette was greasy and closer to an egg pancake wrapped around mushrooms). Hopefully it was a once off for this coffee club.

Spent $40 treating the family to coffee, milkshakes & an ham, cheese & tomato omlette...which arrived with no cheese. Informed the staff who offerred a complimentary coffee...not to remake the omlette. Thanks Coffee Club Southland...you won't be seeing us again. Terrible, avoid it at all costs.

Firstly, I found the staff to be very friendly and pleasant. I ordered an Asian Calamari Salad which is always a risk at a cafe not water side. What came out was a bit of a disaster - most of the crumbing had literally fallen off the calamari!! Like, WTH? Haha. I was tempted to just let it sit and walk out but then I remembered I'd already paid for it!! So I politely pointed out to a staff member that I don't think it's meant to come like that & that I couldn't eat it (extremely fussy with textures). She accepted it and said she would have it fixed. I was dubious but the second time around it was as it should be. Crumb perfectly attached to the calamari and cooked perfectly. My only criticism is that there was no lemon wedge (blasphemous) and just too much of the crispy shallots amongst the salad. My reason for the 4 stars is not just because if the meal itself but the attitude of the staff in accepting that the dish wasn't up to standard initially and their willingness to remedy the situation.

The incident happen at Westfield Southland. Very rude waitress standing at counter, she is rude to her employees. Food really sucks I hate it. She was shouting on employees and even fired him with no reason, although it was customer mistake and customer admit it!, I was just sitting behind the table where incident happened around 12:35 pm 17/08/2017. She doesn't deserve there. Customer service starts from respecting your employee only THEN YOU CAN RESPECT CUSTOMERS.
