The Clay Centre hosted us for our work Christmas Party and everyone in the team absolutely loved their experience and today after picking up our masterpieces everyone is so proud of what they made. The staff made us feel welcomed and really made it an enjoyable time. I've also attended a Coffee & Clay class and had the same great experience!
What a delightful host! The Wheel and Wine evening goes by so fast. They give a demo, walk you through the first spin step by step helping along the way then you get another spin all on your own. Very cathartic, very enjoyable, very fun as all the while you are drinking wine! You get one of your pieces fired in the price, but if you make two stunners you can pay to get the other as well. I hope to go back but they book out very fast.
Our work social club booked a Wheel and Wine event at the Clay Centre. We all had a fabulous time, and I would definitely recommend this as a fun and creative activity. The expert tuition meant we all managed to create a piece that we could take home.
My 9yo daughter did beginner classes with these guys and they were amazing. My daughter really enjoyed the classes and said the instructors were really nice, helpful, and friendly. Just picked up the finished pieces and I am very impressed!
Had a fantastic time in the level 1 course for beginners. Great instructors, and learnt so much over the 5 weeks!
Our team attended a pottery class just before Christmas and we had a blast! The whole process was super fun and our teacher was so patient and accommodating. Highly recommend for a bit of light fun!
This is a really fantastic pottery center. The classes are booked out ridiculously quickly because of how well known it is. I had an opportunity to complete a beginners wheel throwing class here and everything was very smooth and well-taught. The teachers were all very patient and accommodating, and even though there were 16 of us and only 2 tutors, they tried their best to attend to each and every one of us. I think this experience particularly set The Clay Centre apart from other pottery studios as the teacher:student ratio meant you learned more and created better pieces. They navigated lockdown well and did well to accommodate us. While the class was not refundable, they did their best to accommodate our needs and tried to provide compensation in letting us glaze more pieces for free. This is a truly great place and my only regret is not having enough time to do more classes. Thanks everyone & Nadine at Clay Centre.
My child attended the hand sculpting class. Cat the teacher was amazing, the classes are a creative little hub of bubbling activity and the kids love it. There is a comfy lounge for the parents and all you hear is cheeky giggles and fun. Really well run, and the owners are lovely, great place.
I almost don't want to share this place because it's always booked out so quickly. But the clay centre is great, their coffee and clay workshops are always such a blast. If you've never done pottery before but would like to have a go, I reccomend signing up.
Great shop, even better staff! Highly recommend it as a nice team building, or even just to have a clay and wine night
