I arrived around 3 PM for check-in, and unfortunately the male staff member was not friendly or helpful as I hoped expecting a friendly greeting after a long journey :-. Thanks God, the wonderful lady staff who worked in the morning was incredibly nice and helpful.nThe hotel is in a very strategic location.nThere is no elevator, which made it a bit challenging for me as a shorter woman carrying really heavy luggage. The hotel room was spacious and clean.nThe hotel also provides a luggage room that allowed guests to store luggage after checking out.
One of my best routines in Darwin was enjoying a delicious steak at The Cavenagh with colleagues. Their Thursday special was always a highlight!
This place was awesome. The ladies at the check-in desk were happy and helpful, the bar staff were ace, and the steak from the kitchen was superb. Air-conditioning in my room was great, and much appreciated in the tropical heat. The central swimming pool was a highlight of my trip. Super nice setup, without being posh or too fancy. Perfect experience. Thanks.
Pool view room was good. Got to sit in our room drinking beers and listening to the band below. Dinner in the restaurant was really good. Location is great if you don’t have a vehicle and have to walk. Not far to walk to the wharf and other places to eat and drink.
Went here for drinks and dinner. The have a very good choice of beers as well as wine, cocktails, and all other drinks. An amazing choice of top quality beef steaks rib eye fillet, sirloin, an rump cap as well as seafood. We chose the sirloin due to fat score and not disappointed, juicy thick steak cooked to perfection served with salad and chips. Also the pie of the day, pepper beef pie also served with chips and salad. It took very little time between order and delivery of our meals. If you want a good steak in Darwin then this is definitely the place to go all washed down with a cold one. Highly recommended, this place is the best!
