The Brook has an extensive menu breakfast, lunch and dinner menu and is a great choice for big groups. The serving sizes are very generous. The staff are attentive and food is reasonably priced. Coffee is great. It’s rare to get a good, small coffee under $4 nowadays.nnTip: Their extensive breakfast menu is served till 1130am; then there’s a small window where they don’t take orders for lunch until 12pm.
Some food choices are really good quality while others were disappointing. Maybe it was the dishes we selected on the day.nnThe vanilla milkshake was delicious. The crispy pork rolls were like peking duck but with pork. These were sensational, highly recommended.nnThe Angus black and burger had a nice patty but was very wet overall and not as good as I was anticipating. The poke bowl was very bland and flavourless. Even the salmon barely tasted of anything which was very surprising as we often order this poke bowl at other cafes and it never tastes like this.nThe texture of everything was normal but the taste was missing. Weird. I saw a wide variety of other dishes that looked really good quality so I would still recommend that you try this place but don't choose the burger or poke bowl.
My new favourite local. The service, the food, the atmosphere, all of it is just sensational. The restaurant operation is well thought of.nnMy family and I went to the Brook for a quick lunch bite and ended up returning the same evening with more guests.nnFor lunch we had the poke bowl, chicken soba noodles, barramundi and tuna. Every dish was perfectly presented, brought out together and tasted divine. We also had some of the fresh juices on offer, every single one was fresh and tasty. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and food was served to each diner as per their order with no hiccups at all.nI am impressed!nnFor dinner, we arrived at 8:30pm thinking that as the place closes at 10pm, we would have enough time to order and dine. Just as we ordered our entrees we were told the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes, at 8:45pm. So we didn't really get to enjoy the vast array of mains that were on offer. No complaints from us though, we ended up ordering from the gorgeous range of wood fired pizzas. Sorry, I didn't take any photos... just dived straight into the flavours that were on offer.nnI look forward to returning to the Brook. Next time I will arrive earlier, giving myself enough time to order from the mains.nnA must visit!!!!
Always walk past when shopping in Cherrybrook. Tried it last night as a change from Chinese. Glad we did. I ordered the moussaka .Place has a really nice atmosphere with great food. Definitely want to return soon
Pretty disgusted with the Brook! Just got home from buying take away food. This salad cost me $27 and fits in palm of my hand. The chips were soggy, just so you know we live 3mins from the brook so shouldn’t be that bad when I had to wait 5mins for the meals to be cooked. And they were probably bout half the serving you would get if you eat in. Feel like for the same price the servings from eating in to take away are very different. Can’t believe just spent $100 for dinner and we now need to go get more food!
