Went for a friendly outing with co-workers and it was HOT! We went to the outdoor garden area but with the shade and the water mist, it was actually not bad at all. We ordered a spread of Shares, and hands down the Burrata + Flatbread was amazing! The jam they used worked so well as a combo with the Burrata.nAlso had the Pavlova and Smoked Apple Tarte Tartin. Pavlova was delicious and the Smoked Apple is a bitter wasn't to my liking but at the same time, I didn't know what to expect from Smoked apples!nDrank with their mocktails- Grapefruit Spritz and Pineapple Mai Tai. Super refreshing on a hot day.
Very nice ambience. Very nice food. Not cheap and I’m struggling to understand how they can justify applying a surcharge on debit card transaction when they charge $28:00 for a glass of Chardonnay. Surely such charges can be absorbed with such costs.
Thoroughly enjoyed a pre-show dinner at the Garden bar last weekend feb 14th. A busy venue, with great atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food. The menu is chef’s kiss and a nice change from the usual offerings in similar venues. Compliments to the kitchen and wait staff. Order food andndrinks at your table to avoid queues. Can’t fault the place. Will be back.
Had an amazing experience at The Bank in Newtown – Garden Bar! The food was absolutely fantastic — fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. Sorry the pic was taken partly way through eating and not before - we were just enjoying it so much! The relaxed garden setting made it even better. A big shoutout to Jamie, whose service was exceptional — friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. Highly recommend this spot for great food, great vibes, and top-notch service!
The Bank in Newtown has a bit of a reputation - and in the best way possible. It’s notorious for being an awesome social spot, whether you’re catching up with friends for a drink, celebrating something special, or just stopping by on your own for a relaxed afternoon.nThe venue is huge, with a beautiful garden area, a spacious smoko section, and plenty of room inside. It’s also dog‑friendly, which is a massive bonus. I originally booked a table for 10 people, but when I realised I actually needed space for 20, I called ahead. The staff were incredibly helpful and arranged everything without any stress.nThe food is incredible - snacks and mains alike - and the drinks are just as impressive. The staff were polite, friendly, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. Even the bathrooms are fancy, which is always a pleasant surprise.nThe space works in any weather thanks to the retractable roof: it covers you when it rains and opens up on sunny days, giving you a beautiful outdoor vibe no matter what.nHighly recommend The Bank for any event, catch‑up, or casual visit. Always a great time.
