Service was prompt and friendly even though the place was nearly full. I had a chocolate muffin and my boyfriend had a jam donut which he said was arguably the best one he's ever had. My muffin was crunchy on the top and moist in the middle, tasted delicious. Coffees were also delicious with smooth foamy milk. Worth the 30min journey for us.

Fantastic food with amazing staff. Service quick attentive and friendly. Food is imaginative and very flavourful. Cakes, bread and other bakery items are unbelievable. Can highly recommend The Bakers Wife.

Looked nice if only they would let us, group of 6, in. We were told there were 2 other people before us to be seated. Yet they were nowhere to be found. Normally you would skip to the next one in Queue. Not in here. The Asian looking guy with Aussie accent(forgot his name) told us we still had to wait for them to come back and be seated which meant according to him, we had 30 mins left in queue.Thanks but no thanks. And there were lots of empty tables too. What a crappy service. Not the last place in Melbourne to have a meal...

Service was appalling the day I visited. I got no table service for 10 minutes after being shown to a table, and no follow up service after I ordered my coffee. When paying, I had to wait in a line with people ordering take away coffee. Latte was average. On the plus side, it was very spacious inside and the baked goods looked fresh and high quality, probably ordered from a boutique baker supplier or baked instore.

Very friendly atomosphere. Family friendly. Good breakfasts options sweet and savoury. Good coffee. Will come again.
