Lovely atmosphere, delightful food! The Mediterranean Grilled Salmon was perfect, as were the fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection. A delicious, healthy and reasonably light supper! The service was attentive and polite.
Friendly service and the Sunday roast is 10/10. Had the trilece dessert as well which were so yummy we got another one. Would recommend
A disappointing visit after quite a few recommendations. Some of the food may be good but what I received was not. I had the pork belly roast dinner which looked liked it had been sliced and put back in the oven for an extra hour, burnt to a crisp photo attached. Veg was all overcooked and the gravy was very watery. Best item on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding which was the only good thing on there. My Wife's Roast Beef dinner was passable, but there are plenty of restaurants in the area which serve better food. Was not asked if we wanted to try the wine before it was poured and then the server put the bottle cap back on the bottle?!? Service was lacking, had to virtually wave people down as they all have their heads down with the avoidance tactic down to a tee. To top it off, we were charged for 3 covers instead of 2. They only realised their mistake when I queried it.
We had a special birthday lunch and had a great time. I had the Rack Of Lamb and especially loved the tasty gravy. Nothing to complain about.Food: 4/5
Excellent service well trained staff as well as smiling with attention to detail. Old fashioned values that I thought had disappeared. Food was plenty full value for money. Quality Jus excellent flavours both starters and desserts. A breath of fresh air a MUST for anyone who like eating out Kid-friendliness: Excellent friendliness with smiles as soon as we arrived. With attention to detail knowing that I require attention by just looking in their direction. First class can’t be faulted in this era. Parking: Ideal at the back well directed signs etc.
Looks great but the food and service don't always live up to the looks. My friend had a rib eye steak that was 60% fat - we told the staff but no apology and no reduction in price. On another occasion we ordered garlic bread as a starter but it was just forgotten but still added to the original bill was removed when we pointed out out. Although we're semi-regular visitors there is no acknowledgment that they recognise us. It is very noisy too if there are a few tables occupied

Food and service were good. Portions were quite generous to the point of surprise really. Prices are about what you'd expect for the type of place and the food quality. Would definitely eat there again at some point in the future.Food: 4/5
I have just had a very poor meal at the Albert at a cost of £26. For this amount, I had a half bowl of mediocre soup with 2 bits of toast too hard to eat. For the main course, I had salmon. This consisted of a salmon fillet, overcooked, and when I enquired about the vegetables, I was told that they were under the salmon. They consisted of a spoonful of fried potatoes and a tiny amount of dried up pea puree. I do not know how they had the nerve to charge £26 for such a poor quality meal. My friends who had the turkey did not fare much better as their vegetables were completely undercooked and could not be eaten. However, we all decided that we would not under any circumstances, go there again and considering we numbered about 25, it is their loss.
I had the privilege of enjoying the fillet steak and triple cooked beef dripping chips to request, which was enhanced by the butter spinach and peppercorn sauce All the staff, especially Dona, Dori and Freya were exceptional and catered to all my needs. I will be a regular visitor
