This place was very nice. The service was quite friendly and welcoming. We sat at the communal table which was cute. The food here was really nice but some of them were just lacklustre. Especially the pasta, which tasted like a spaghetti bolognese with a different type of pasta. I think this is the type of place where you expect inventive dishes but most of them were just above average.
Enjoyed our experience at Templo, there was room for about 30 guests. Some with their own table and some on communal dinning table which was not a problem. Small drink selection but sufficient to the menu items. Friendly service, and tasty food, my favourite was the Gruyère with Honey toast. The pasta’s were full of flavour. Recommend when you come to Hobart
Definitely a gastronomic experience. Love the quaint small space, service was efficient and friendly. Courses were adventurous, delicious unless you just don’t care for certain things. Example, I devoured the beetroot salad but beets aren’t my wife’s thing so not as big a hit with her. Pasta was outstanding, easily the best of the night. Bottom line if you consider yourself a foodie you owe it to yourself to make it to a seating here. You won’t be disappointed.
An interesting 6 course menu using seasonal, local produce. Stand outs were the asparagus with mussel, ravioli and the dessert. Overall enjoyable but was waiting for a dish that would wow me and didn't get one. At $95pp it's a bit pricey for what you get imo. If you eat a lot you may leave still hungry.
Loved it. We were at a communal table and enjoyed chatting to the guests next to us. Food was expensive but everything was delicious. Some of the portions for the earlier courses could have been bigger. A highlight for us the swordfish.
Amazing food and lovely staff. This was the best food we had in Hobart. Their oysters where amazing. Had a good selection of wine as well. Go here and you won’t get disappointed.
Outstanding! We had the most amazing vegan banquet where every dish was unique and so so tasty. The staff were so very lovely and very accommodating. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Thank you Templo
Templo was smaller than I expected, but it gives you a cozy vibe. We were a group of 4 and sat at the bar. Food was delicious. I loved all the combinations. The orange wine was amazing. Staff was welcoming at first but throughout the night was just a bit flat. That makes a difference at the end. Funny they just bring the bill after dessert without notice. I guess it’s because it was close to 8pm already, which is the second seating.
Great place and atmosphere! The server knew what he was doing and running a full house as more guests started to arrive. Can't complain about the food because it was delicious! It's a small cosy spot so I do recommend booking ahead!Food: 5/5
Delicious, hearty set menu, heroing local ingredients. Staff were friendly and happy to provide good wine recommendations. Most of my photos show portions for 2 diners. Small, intimate venue with a large round table for communal seating. Was good to chat with likeminded diners.
