My experience with Ted's traverses quite a gamut of customer experience. I appreciate their willingness to trade old equipment on purchases and for this reason they are my preferred photographic retailer. I have appreciated their friendly advice and genuine willingness to provide a remedy when mistakes have been made. My biggest issue is that their closest store is over 45 minutes away, but the online service has always been a very satisfactory alternative.
I think Ted’s Brisbane CBD store is really good, the Staff are friendly, very knowledgeable and eager to assist. It’s my go to store for photographic gear. I bought my new camera and lens through Ted’s, and, I have also purchased used photographic equipment, saving $$$ in the process, plus I have traded-in my old equipment,saving me time and effort trying to sell it. I can buy both New and Used gear with confidence knowing that it’s all backed by a Ted’s warranty. An added bonus for me is, Ted’s Brisbane CBD store is so well located to transport. I have no problems recommending Ted’s Brisbane CBD store based on the great service I have experienced.
Initial: I bought a binocular a few days ago, but it did not meet my expectations. So, I wanted to return it because I could not afford the product that I need. The manager refused to return it because this is the store's policy, as I have been told! Now, I have no use for this product, and it will stay to collect dust.” Updated: My friend bought me this item and tried to return it. So, I must acknowledge that the above comment does not reflect my personal experience. My friend gave me a wrong item description and influenced my decision to buy it. When I received the item from him and tried it, it was totally different from my friend’s report, and I wouldn't say I liked it. This was my mistake because I did not read about the product on Ted’s Cameras’ website and their return policy before I gave my friend the approval to buy it. This afternoon, I went to the store and talked to Matthew. I explained and clarified my situation to him. He was friendly, professional and helpful. The problem is now resolved. Thanks, Mathew and Ted’s Cameras customer service.
Went here to get a new lens for wide shots but didn't really know what we needed. Belinda went above and beyond to help us out and we really appreciated the assistance. The staff here are great at helping you figure out what you need.
The lady who helped me was trying her best to fix my pre-taken passport photo and did an amazing job, and all for a super affordable price. Really recommend these guys to help you with your photography needs.
Went there to check a prime lens out but had no new in stock. The assistant went out back and brought a second hand lens out to show me it was virtually brand new and he saved a bit of coin as well so i purchased it on the spot.... i would recommend TEDs to anyone. Do not recommend I came today to make a photo for passport. I would expect professional photographer with professional lights. But no. He just made a photo against the wall with ugly celling lights. No mirror to fix hair. I had to follow his instructions and got a hair mess . No help with head position. I asked to reshoot 3 times. After each I asked to help with head position but didn't get any advise. The photo is really ugly. Chin too high, celling lights gave wrong shadows, camera position was too low, very stressful face after asking to reshoot 3 times. I needed a new camera for my travel but definitely not in this store.Very careless and unfrendly service. 3 salesperson in the shop, one customer, but no one welcomed me. .
Great friendly staff got our camera serviced and updated while shopping in the City, to many new options for a new camera. Call in and check out all the new gear available.

I'm not sure how this bricks and mortar store competes with online. Went in to peruse compact cameras and was shown two of the same brand. The staff member serving didn't seem to have much knowledge and did all their searching online. An uninspiring experience.
