I enjoyed watching the geyser erupt. The old Victorian bath house closed at 9:00 p.m. and you can't go there alone for safety reasons. The pool in a separate building only opened Saturday the following morning at 10:00 a.m.
Discovering this humble gem is a delight! The abundance of benches invites tranquil strolls, while delving into the history of the area adds depth to the experience. With ample space for sports and charming slides for the little ones, it's a haven for all ages. Plus, the abundance of free street parking makes it accessible to everyone. Don't miss out on this wonderful retreat!
Gotta be honest... it looked great: hot pools, museum and lots of trails etc but I was early. Definitely worth stopping in Te Aroha... there lots to do and see!!
A beautiful domain to have a picnic, take the kids for a play at the park or even take your dog for a walk or play ball. Grab a coffee from the cafe or enjoy an ice cream under a shady tree. There are also bush tracks around the mountain and up to the top of the mountain. The tracks are rough going up but I enjoyed my walk to the first lookout which is about 30-40min walk with a very steep incline.
Love this wee country town. Locals friendly and welcoming. Dog friendly and fantastic bush walks and thermal pools to enjoy
