Lovely the way New Zealand use to be camping ground. Simple and peaceful out there. Quick easy 15min drive to Gisborne. Nice sandy beach.

Great spot right on the water. Owners were very friendly. Perfect place to camp whilst in gisborne or travelling the east cape

Anyone who enjoys loud truck engines, will enjoy not sleeping here, as the road is a mere 10m away from the site. And the owner allows the neighbor to park and move their diving boats across the whole campground at 6:30 AM. With a huge tractor. Anyone who likes old, crappy, smelly toilets will feel right at home, as there is just one men sitting toilet for the whole place and it gets cleaned every two days. Any one who enjoys walking to get water will be happy, as there are no watertaps on the campgrounds, only at the kitchen. Anyone who has cash to spare, will like this place, as we paid 170 dollars for two nights (2 adults, 3 kids under 11) . Without electricity of course,  cause we appreciate our savings, and are moving to the other, much quieter, cleaner and cheaper camping 30 mins down the road (Tolaga Bay) . Fair is fair, they do have free WiFi (but no mobile reception)

Amazing views, very friendly owner, right next to dive shop for reef eco tour. Perfect relaxing holiday away from the city hustle and bustle!
