The cafe and the food look great but I was very sad to experience the worst tasting vegan cake I've had in my life. The choc avocado tart tasted like avocado with cacao with no flavour at all. I'm wondering if someone just screw up this one cake and forgot to add sweetener or if they just completely fail to produce healthy yet delicious treats. First time in my life I wasn't able to finish a cake because it was so disgusting...
Had an excellent chocolate avocado pie here just as they were closing up at 2pm - it was still quite busy and the service was very friendly - no-one seemed put out for having customers at the end of the day. We were impressed with the quality of both cafe and the store attached. Looking forward to our next visit.
The vegan filo I had was delicious and the coffee was fine. Would be great to see more vegan options. The shop was great as the assistants offered help on more than one occasion and knew what they were talking about. Would be a 5 if more vegan options :
Ordered the corn fritters a few weeks ago. The meal arrived and to my surprise it had more capsicum in and on the corn fritters than any other ingredient. Being allergic to capsicum I asked why there was no mention of it on the menu. The lady was nice enough but did nothing about resolving the issue. She just said I could order and pay for something else of the menu. After paying for two meals and my sister having finished her meal, mine arrived. Both meals were nothing special. This place used to have amazing food and service. There are plenty of other places to try, so I won't be back. The response of "there was salsa on the menu" to me means that I could remove it if required. Salsa wasn't IN the corn fritters, that was just capsicum. Don't trouble yourself replying, I stand by my statement. I won't be back!
Bought some coffees here this afternoon and they were horribly bitter. Took quite a while too considering there were only two hot chocolates to make before my two coffees. I love how they have loads of vege/vegan option, but unfortunately I probably wont come back to try some as I'm not too keen on risking it with another undrinkable coffee
Great locally owned organic cafe with a fantastic menu! Would eat and drink coffee here everyday if I lived here. I recommend the eggs benedict with pork belly and hash browns made from scratch on the side for breakfast and the ethical catch of the day for lunch, outstanding!
Amazing food with great vege and vegan options. Beautiful presentation. Great service. Great coffee. Great space - love the artwork and decor! Wish we had somewhere like this where we live!
Great cafe, some vegan cabinet food options. Salad options are typically vegan. I was a little disappointed at my last visit, when I was served egg based Aioli physically on my plate with my Vegan savoury meal right because the tomato sauce, was hard to just eat the tomato sauce, so my meal was a little dry without the sauce. The staff member apologised for the kitchen staff, but didn't offer to change the plate. Also they were slow bringing out my tables menus, leaving people waiting for their menus, while others went cold. A sense of arrogance from one young male staff member too, which wasn't necessary. When food is ordered on the same table, surely it goes in the oven together to warm not separately. As an ex chef, I feel if these are new owner's / staff, they can do with some training.
My wife and I called in for coffee and scone . The scone was very small for $4, with small star of butter asked for more butter was told it would be another $2 Always try and support local cafes but sorry won't be back anytime soon!!! .
Good coffee. Yummy generous sized slices. Lunches served too, salads and vegetarian dishes as well. Inside and outside seating. Quiet area not heavy traffic.
