Ive travelled from taree train station many times over many years and have always been treated so nice from all staff, always very helpful. clean facilities which is a plus
So, my best friend and I attended Taree Railway Station yesterday to book a trip to Sydney on the XPT for today. We were confronted by Neil who was so rude. He told my friend she could have 20 kilos in 1 bag and if she had another bag it had to weigh over 5 kilos to book it in. When we arrived for her trip, Neil was on duty again !!! Low and behold Bar's bag was 0.12 over the 20 kilos. 1 bra and 1 very light top. He made her take some articles out which was the bra and top and put it into her carry on bag. Now I know that someone has to lift the bag on and off the train and I could understand if the bag was several kilos over but seriously!!! He didn't need to be so rude. Her other carry on bag could have been 20 kilos as well but was only 7 kilos. It had to be over 5 kilos to book it on as luggage. Go figure!!! I think Neil needs a holiday.
Pretty good station, few issues with if though. All rooms/toilets are locked after a certain hour and not open till atleast 7-9am, making it annoying before boarding a bus. When staff are on its my experience they take way to long when dealing with inquiries and as a result I havent been able to speak to them about travel related issues in time before my train arrived. I haven't had any bad experiences with staff, not good ones so I can't comment on their performance.
Very well looked after.. The ladies toilet was very clean.. Not like A lot of toilets on the railway stations... They need to be thought how to keep them clean... TAREE 100% Happy
Nice station.
Friendly staff, on rare occasion when I travel train was always on time.
Good old taree train station... staff are friendly here so the staff need to stay on...
Great staff and a great service for the people of NSW.
