Took my Macbook Pro in as it kept shutting down. Paid $77 for an inspection fee and took almost 2 weeks and almost daily follow up calls to get any kind of update. After apparently trying multiple things and 'figuring out the issue' was told it needed a new motherboard because it was overheating!? It was all very odd and could not get a straight answer out of the technician who was working on it. I ended up travelling to Sydney and took it into the Apple store and all it needed was a fresh OS install and it works fine now. Definitely will not be going back if I have issues with my Mac in the future.
My experience was VERY poor with this company. I needed a new battery for my Mac, was charged $77 to investigate, $190 for the new battery and $77 to fit it. They needed to order the battery in and I was told 3 days. This ended up being 13. I chased daily, I was leaving the country temporarily so could not wait that long. I arranged to collect it. Owner was very apologetic and ask that I leave it with him to fix and offered to fly it out to me. Was very impressed with this level of customer service and agreed to let them still fix it. This high opinion was short lived when I received a request for the cost of the postage a week later for $150!! After some email exchanges reminding them my paying for this was never discussed, I just had to pay it, gutted, as I told the staff, they should have just let me collect it when I wanted to. Postage then took 4 weeks, not the 7-10 days originally discussed by phone and when I asked for proof of postage the price was cut off. In addition, to top all this off, due to how the postage form was filled in by this company, this parcel looked like a brand new item not a pre-owned item and I was charge $240 in customs tax. So a new battery cost me $734!! From the beginning I received poor communication from this company, awful customer service, they badly managed expectations, overcharged me, mis-informed me and made critical errors on postage paperwork impacting me financially. I gave this company the opportunity to put this right. They took zero responsibility for all my issues and responded with comments "I am surprised you feel my business should pay this charge postage", "my business does not control how international shipments are handled by foreign postal services" and wrote two paragraphs about how my employer was at fault for not providing me with a working computer in the meantime?? They only accepted that the initial delivery delay of my battery was worth a "15% discount on repairs when you next run into a problem"... like I would use this company again? Rating is 1*, I do not recommend.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Customer service was above and beyond. Not only did they fix my MacBook Pro but went above and beyond. I live really remotely so couldn’t pick it up but they got it to a place where it could be delivered to me and were so careful to only give it to the right person. They didn’t have to do that but it meant a lot to me!
Recommend this business to anyone who is having difficulties with any Apple Laptops, Iphones & IPAD. Provided efficient quotes to determine whether to repair or invest in new equipment. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
Absolutely amazing customer service, fast turnaround, and affordable! I put my MacBook Air in of an afternoon to get repaired and received a phone call the following morning saying it’s ready! Highly recommend :-
After paying $75 to find the problem, I was told it's an easy fix but will cost $400 and take 3-4 weeks. 6 weeks later I was told it can't be fixed but they could transfer the data to a new one. "It's what we do". I presented a new one and then told the password I gave them didn't work. Worked for a year until they got into it. Asked to speak to the guy who worked on and was told he was having lunch on the other side of the wall.
Eric was a great help and persisted in fixing the problem with my iPhone. Would recommend this store for all your Apple needs.

Not a Mac authorised repairer. Not the same as the one that use to be in Cairns City, just bought the name. So couldn’t refer to previous work done by them. Charged me $150 to install a new operating system which we could have done ourselves. Then said they can’t help with the actual problem with the graphics card which is what we had told them it was . Expensive and disappointing and now have to contact apple directly and probably take it to Brisbane.
When confronted with email problems for my business of Bimblegumbie Mountain Lodge and having all Mac devices, it was a treasure to have the help and support of Ivy and Robert in my endeavours to reinstate my emails. Running a business in the regional areas with extremely limited access to assistance and also not great internet, it was a huge relief to have their assistance in restoring my systems. Thank you very much for all that you did to help in this matter. Very much appreciated.
