My family and I, six altogether spent one night at the Lodge.we arrived to a welcoming warm fire. You definitely need three nights minimum but the boys spent a wee time kayaking. Next time must do some fishing. The equipment is supplied too. Spacious kitchen, great green area facing the river, be neat in summer. And for families to spend time next to each other and in own space and dine together if you wish.Terrific facility. Thank you Anna and Ian.
What a wonderful place to visit. Even though we had a lot of rain it was my idea of a perfect holiday place. Nature, river, beach, fishing, peaceful surroundings and to top it off and makes it absolutely perfect - very clean, comfortable accommodation and friendly hosts. Definitely a 10 out of 10
My wife and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon. My wife had always wanted to have a glamping experience. This far exceeded our expectations - we WILL be coming back The area itself is so beautiful and peaceful. We had such a lovely time relaxing, swimming in the river, kayaking down to the beach, attempting to fish and having some romantic baths by the river.
Incredible place to stay on a pristine river with loads of fish partner caught a snapper off the deck! and option to kayak to your own private white sand beach. Absolutely magical retreat from the hustle and bustle of life, we will be back!!
My husband and I stayed at the magic cottage and had the best time! It's the perfect place for a sneaky getaway from the hussle and bussle of the city life. The hosts are super lovely and welcoming and so helpful! Such a great experience, we hope to be back!

Lovely stay at the Lodge down at Magic Cottages , the lodge was perfectly presented and the Owners Ian and Anna are both lovely , we spent a great deal of time walking the masive farm exploring all we could find , along with a lovely kayak down the Takou river to the ocean
The place is amazing as a location. Will have to skip a couple of stars for the cottages itself and the price. Perhaps the high season but found the price not in line with what we got. Full marks however for the property
Disappointed to say the least. Backpacker type facility for luxury accommodation rates. Don't be fooled by the petals and a romantic getaway, the place is dated and smelt musty from disuse.
