Great taste. Large portions and reasonably priced. Staff were very busy and the queue to get in was horrendous but that's normal for a Friday night in Burwood. Bullfrog was tasty. Pressure cooker chicken delicious and the beef rice noodle generous and filling. Star was the salty egg corn.
Yummy Chinese food was lots of options. The spicy clams and shredded potato dishes were an absolute delight. Service was so so. It would have been better if all the dishes arrived around the same time. There was quite a bit of wait between dishes but it was very busy at lunch.
Nice dining atmosphere with friendly staff. Waiting staff had great customer service and very helpful. There was a good variety of Chinese food on the menu, food presentation was nice however, the food taste was okay. Good size servings.
Authentic food, great flavours with good options. Given portion sizes, it's suited for 2+ people. Low options for single person dining alone. The venue looks neat and tidy. Would def dine here again. Can get busy so plan ahead.Food: 5/5
I like the food here! Being Sichuan cuisine you can expect the numbing Sichuan peppercorns and spicy chilli in each dish. The first time we came, I loved all the dishes. This time round some dishes were just good not great. Overall I would come back to try more. My family though, they don’t like spicy food so will have to come back with friends.
A lot of very interesting dishes on offer. I felt adventurous and ordered bullfrog with chilli and ginger, with a couple of side dishes. The wait time for the food was not long at all. The bullfrog was surprisingly tasty it reminds me of chicken. All three dishes were quite spicy. It was an enjoyable experience, I will head back to try some of the other dishes.
5 out of 6 visits are pretty good. Not all dishes are good so need to know what to order I guess. The below ones are all pretty good.
Only complaint is 1 of the waiters has no face expression even if you ask him a simple question, end up getting the drinks from the fridge ourselves instead. Love the food though!!Food: 4/5
Came here twice, first time had the Duck clay pot rice and steamed egg with clams. Second time had the sizzling squid and salted egg corn. The quality is very good, very authentic and full of flavour. However, like others have said the wait time is very long for your food. Both times my partner and I waited at least 20-30 mins. Be very mindful of coming here if you or the people you go with cannot read and speak Chinese. The staff do not speak English well and the menu/ ordering system is in Chinese. Can be hard to communicate but still doable. Wait time however - needs improving. 4.5 stars for food - but wait time and language is an issue.
Great serving size and an overall very affordable meal. Loved the vinegar potato and would 100% come back here.
