It used to be great about a year ago. Cheesy Mexican food with lots of flavour! Though recently there seems to have been a change of management. The quantity of food has decreased significantly. The food seems more continental than true Mexican. They did try to introduce more offers though which was good. But overall as the quality of the food decreased I wasn’t too happy. I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price if the food is worth the money.
Lovely hot and fresh food and the wait staff are friendly. Only down side is that it can be a bit cold in winter due to the glass ceilings. But always an enjoyable meal. They have weekday specials up on the board like mid week main meals half price before 8pm. They also do takeaway
Great Mexican food, surprise its in Geelong! Ordered Beef Fajitas and Veg Quesadillas. Quality of the food was excellent better than all Mex restaurants I have eaten at in Sydney. Service was friendly, polite and quick. Going back again tonight! If you haven't eaten here, well worth the drive.
Arrived an hour before they were closing, was told we had 9 minutes till the kitchen closed, and when we eventually got our food had less than 15 mins to eat and get out. They kept coming to the table telling us we had to hurry up, the chick serving our table told us a sob story about how we were keeping her there and if we hadn't had rocked up she could have left half an hour ago, she kept trying to clear our food whole we were eating it and put the bill on our table two minutes after giving us our food. We came to taco bill to celebrate my sons graduation, which was rushed and pushy. Such a shame because we love this restaurant usually.
Was just about to leave a 5 star review as the enchiladas and margaritas were pretty dang good and server was great but I asked for a few more chips/salsa at the end of my meal and the waitress said it would cost $4 more. Maybe it’s cause I’m American and most Mexican restaurants there give you as much free chips and salsa that you want but I think they could have given me a bit more at no charge especially considering I had just spent $49 on food/drinks for 1 person. Chips/salsa are pretty damn cheap and I’m shocked that they charged me $4 more them. Maybe if your portions were bigger I wouldn’t have needed them?! Just a thought.
The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was beautiful, and even though the place was full, we didn't have to wait too long to recieve our meals. The deserts were wonderful, the sticky date pudding was delicious. I'd recomend it to everyone. 10/10
Besides the great service, the food portions were small and lacking any flavour. We dined on a Friday night and the happy hour of the day was for 1/2 priced margeritas. As I love them, I ended up ordering 2 as it was a good deal. But when I went to pay and used a dining voucher, the I presume owner said that if I use the voucher the drinks were at full price. This may have been handy to know before I ordered the drinks as I would have only had one. The real issue was that there were four of us dining so the maximum limit of $25 discount was much less that 25% of the bill so I don't understand how not allowing the discouted beverage price would have affected the total amount we had deducted. Not one of us dining were happy with our meals and sadly, I can make better tasting mexican at home so will not be going back.
The staff were useless and unorganized which is up to the manager to train these people. We asked a few simply questions about the food & drinks and they couldn't give a proper answer. The place can't split bills, which really isn't rocket science. If you want to order alcohol they ask for you ID then take it away for a few minutes this includes everyone on the table who wants to drink, I have never experienced this at any restaurant. The food is overpriced and barely Mexican at all. I also ordered a nonalcoholic slushie which I swear ended up to be an alcoholic one which concerns me for any kid who orders one :/ Never coming back thats for sure
Taco Bill Geelong has certainly improved ever since the new owners took over, Walked in and fresh meat was cooking on the stove, the restaurant smelt of freshly cooked food, just the Aromas that were going on blew my mind. The girls in front of house are always so happy to see everybody, service with a smile, overall extremely happy with my experience!
If I could rate it less I would. I wouldn't feed it to the dog, no spices/seasoning in the chicken, got the order wrong and took out the wrong food, way below average. soft drinks flat. Won't ever be back and wouldn't advise anyone to dine there until they educate their chef in Mexican food.
