We had a delicious dinner here to celebrate the end of the school year. The food was absolutely delicious and came out super quick. The cocktails were also very yum! Service was super friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back again soon.
Worst enchilada I ever had. The chicken tastes like nothing. No lime, no coriander, no beans, no season at all! The sauce is a lame, tastes like can. I felt they simply buy stuff from the Mexican area of Coles and put them all together in the restaurant. I've eaten better in a hospital. They don't know what good food is. Also, I awaited 40 minutes for this. Unfortunately I don't have anything positive to write.
Great Mexican restaurant, the staff were friendly and the service was quick, very tasty food with a big variety on the menuFood: 5/5
Went in a few weeks ago on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff were nice and friendly. Taco's were bland, no hint of Mexican flavour. It was just pulled beef and a microwaved taco shell, side salad looked nasty and I didn't even try it. The chips were hot and fresh and I would definitely recommend those. Staff are great but the food was very poor.
Mexican Graffiti was a family favourite back in the day. I hadn’t been in years after a change to their menu and miscommunication with our waiter resulted in being charged for a full meal when only served a small portion of it. Thought I’d try my luck again. Hats off to all the staff, from being greeted as soon as we walked in, to everyone who served us at our table and when we paid our bill… all an absolute delight. Unfortunately the food was average at best. Certainly nothing to get excited about. I even loved that they still use the ‘raise the flag’ system if you need anything I won’t be rushing back. Mexican Graffiti shall forever remain the place of nostalgia, where we once dined and celebrated special occasions.
Staff and Service were absolutely exceptional. Excellently well trained, polite and efficient. For the price, the food was a little underwhelming, but definitely made up for with being so well waited on. Go for the great experience!
Good feed at a nice price point, frozen margaritas were the best we have had. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free menu
Edit - try the Chicken Mexican Parma. No one is going home on an empty stomach after one of those bad boys This restaurant is truely a great way to introduce children to Mexican food. The servings are large, tasty, and barely a hint of hotness. For grown ups there are tasty margaritas and mexican beers, plus aussie brews in the mix. The food comprises all the Mexican standards, from nachos to burritos to tacos. Once the kids love it, you won't need an excuse to go back
It's been around 10 years since we have last been to Mexican Graffiti so we thought we should really give them a try again. And well, I'm glad that we did try them again as we won't go back for at least the next 20 years. Ok so where to start. 1 - wanted taco's, but got told, despite them been corn tortillas, they could not do them gluten free and instead had to have los taco's instead. I did say I was happy for them to take an ingredient out if the tacos so that they would be gluten free, but no, there would be no negotiation, if I want gluten free then I have to order from the limited gluten free menu. 2 - we went during COVID in which the government has strict rules with how close you can be to other tables and how many you can have in a venue. Well, I highly doubt these guys understood the rules they had us right in tight next to another table and the amount of people in our section was surely too many. 3 - the quality of the food that we did get was pretty average. Now, that is all the negatives. There were however some positives of the place and it is for this that we did not walk out and go somewhere else. The venue is very kid friendly. They have colouring books to keep the kids entertained. The food is very plain, which while disappointing for the adults it is good for kids. The cocktails were not to bad. In closing, this place is a Geelong icon, it has been around for many years and no doubt will be around for many more to come. They do know there clientele and do cater for them. If you are new to Geelong and are looking for a genuine Mexican experience then stay well away from here. If however you are a family and looking for a different sort of venue to your pubs and want somewhere that is relaxed, easy going and friendly then yeah give these guys a go.
We left and I think all six of us had finished around one sixth of our meals. The waiters brought the nachos out with these microwave safe mits because they’re obviously binging all of our meals. “Chuck it in the binger” is something I heard the chef say I’m sure. Glad we went once, will be back in 20 years to write probably the same review. Staff were nice though.
