Story

Sydney Business has established its unique footprint across the greater Sydney metropolitan area with centres serving the Northern Suburbs, Northern Beaches, Manly Warringah, Parramatta, Western Sydney, the Sydney CBD.

Sydney Business centres form part of the national Business Enterprise Centre program which was formally incorporated in 1991 with the objective of providing State-based training and business development assistance for small businesses within their local communities. There are now some 100 Business Enterprise Centres located around Australia, with more than 50 in New South Wales.

Sydney Business, through its six New South Wales based centres, serves the largest proportion of the population covered by the Business Enterprise Centre program Australia wide. Additionally, Sydney Business is responsible for delivering the NEIS program to the whole of the Sydney region and the NSW Central Coast, and also operates a number of Outreach Centres throughout Sydney.

Sydney Business centres are not-for-profit organisations that have the support of the New South Wales Government, local councils and the local business communities. They are licensed by the Commonwealth Government to deliver Commonwealth training programmes and are Registered Training Organisations.
