I just ordered Roasted Pork belly and wonton soup here via Uber eats. The pork belly’s very juicy, nice in shape and taste very good to compared with other local restaurants in Wolli Creek.. The broth of wonton soup’s also taste good and the price’s very reasonable. Highly recommend
Away from the main strip, this Chinese restaurant has been secretly serving up tasty home-style Chinese dishes for a few years. We recently went there on Chinese New Year and had a big meal. The good: - reasonable prices - big portions - flavoursome food - some exotic unusual dishes like steamed beef brisket with glutinous rice What can improve: - general table service e.g. removing dirty dishes from empty tables - waiting time for the food - serving food on overly large plates, using smaller dishes will make food look more abundant
We've been regulars here since they opened last year. Good value, great taste, not greasy like other Chinese restaurants. Chef takes pride in his cooking and it reflects in their food. Customer service is great, kid-friendly, although sometimes waiting time for the food can be long.
Friendly service. This place is across the road from me and I’ve only eaten there once. I don’t see many people coming and going. The Chef was the only one there at the time - I was a tad early for lunch. I asked for Char siu with my wonton egg noodle soup. The Chef kindly nodded and said at “no extra charge” I was blown away. He served me hot Chinese tea no charge too There was nobody there. A few moments later a little lady came but still nobody else came. The soup was tasty, egg noodles fresh, the wontons were yum, it’s dough was soft and mince pork fresh. The plate of chat siu was tasty but a bit dried out. Looking like it needed a bit of loving. Still I was appreciative All up it costs $12.80 but I gave $15 told her to keep the change. This place just need a bit of loving and support. Thank you. You’re too kind!
Love the food there, but be prepared to wait awhile but not crazily long. The lady owner is always very nice and polite.
First visit - cold shredded chicken in Sichuan sauce; Yangzhou fried rice; beef tendon in a claypot with peanuts. All done very competently by a Cantonese chef Back again, this time with a vegetarian friend. "Wild vegetables with Thai sauce" - actually fantastic black fungus with a hot and numbing dressing. Salt and pepper tofu - great flavours, flaccid texture, and the stand-out beef with pickled vegetables. My God! A year on and we are regulars. Standouts are the Peking Duck probably not presented the way you expect, but - contrary to what people think in Sydney - there are many ways to do Peking Duck; MaPoToFu; Fish-Fragrant Eggplant; Clams in XO Sauce; PiPa Duck order 3 days in advance.
We placed a takeaway order and were told to pick it up in 30 min. I arrive and wait a further 45 mins. Multiple queries and assurances of "cooking your last dish now" later I was finally given what was clearly a rushed job in the kitchen. - The fried rice had hardly spent time in the wok - Greasy wontons that had been thrown in the bag straight from the wok - Microwaved BBQ pork buns served in supermarket styrofoam packaging Caveat emptor.
Excellent restaurant overall. Very friendly staff had a great conversation with them. Brilliant Chinese food and the kids loved it! Great value for money. The restaurant itself is nice and cozy and heated. I will be DEFINITELY coming back here and I would recommend others to come as well.
This hidden gem serves authentic HK-style dishes. Everything is made to order. Serving sizes are generous, and prices are great in value. I've been here many times with no disappointment. Don't let the ambience stop you from trying this place! I'd recommend the stir-fry beef rice noodles "wet": also known as "sup chow ngau ho", crispy chicken with egg noodles, seafood crispy egg noodles, and sweet and sour pork. I'm sure the other dishes are just as good!
They just changed business and its now a hot pot and BBQ place. Omg so yummy. Must try.
