This little Chinese eatery is serving up home style dishes in big portions and great prices. From a flavour standpoint, all dishes were competent, with the honey chicken being the standout.  Note: At lunch time, they offer scoop out of the tray style takeaway meals that are great value.

First time coming here today and to preface this review, I am a Chinese person that really likes pan fried pork buns. Ordered 3 other dishes and they were fine, not great but not bad. However, these pork buns were of a kind that I have never seen before. The meat was exactly the size in the photo about a third of what I usually get from other restaurants and it tasted concerning. If you come here, it's fine but do not order their pork buns.

I am a regular customer of this restaurant. It offers tasty & authentic North Eastern Chinese cuisine, also has a Sichuan spicy vibe. The dishes are reasonably priced, and the service is always great.

Worse Chinese restaurant ever! Bad service & food. The owner was constantly shouting and scolding at the chef and the kitchen helper throughout our meal, which made us really uncomfortable. We kept asking if we could have our rice, she kept forgetting!  The food was plain and horrible, definite will avoid this one!

Flavor is a true diamond in the rough and one of Wolli Creek's hidden gems. If you want authentic Chinese cuisine cooked with a lot of heart then this place is worth your visit.  Do not be dissuaded by the humble appearance, for it offers great food, variety and generous portions. Of all the proteins, Flavor are the masters of pork and I would recommend anyone to try their Pork in hot chilli oil.  The adage that you should eat where the locals eat rings as true as ever.

I love this place! I have been a fan of Chinese food since I was a kid. I’ve eaten it all over the country - and overseas - and it is my favourite cuisine. My parents lived in China for a number of years so I have been privileged to eat authentic cuisine all my life.  The owner Rose is not only a beautiful person, she honours her heritage in the best way possible - through her restaurant’s cuisine.  The menu is very broad and exciting. It caters to both mainstream and adventurous palettes. There’s some really interesting dishes to be found here along with some classics and old favourites done with an exciting twist.  My wife and I eat here, or get takeaway,  every couple of weeks. We have our favourite dishes like the fried salt & pepper flounder, pippies in ginger and shallot, Mongolian lamb, pork mince with eggplant and sweet & sour pork - the most unique interpretation we’ve had! I’m getting hungry writing this review…anyway, the service is always friendly - despite the occasional language barrier - and the food is as generous as it is tasty. To a white man like me, who lives Chinese food, the barometer of success I have always applied is the number of Chinese people who regularly dine in the restaurant, and Rose’s is no exception. The local Chinese community in Wolli Creek clearly appreciate the quality of Flavor’s cooking because they are there every single night ensuring Rose and her staff are always busy.  If you live within a ten km radius of this place I assure you it’s worth the effort. If you’re a local, like me, then you’re very spoiled indeed!

Best Chinese in Wolli Creek.  Generous portions and lots of flavour. If I wasn’t sure where to go for dinner, Flavor Wolli Creek is always a safe option. They also offer the best valued lunch box, sometimes with choices straight off the main menu. Owner is very friendly!

This a great place to eat. Fine selection on menu. Prepared meals in hot selection which changes daily.  Vegetarian options: Has reasonable selection of vegetarian meals  Parking: Free parking for 1st 3 hours

Food was nice enough.  Fried rice lacked flavour, was nicer after dousing it in soy sauce.  Pan fried dumplings were more like steamed dumplings. No sauce provided.  I enjoyed it after a couple minor alterations, not rushing out to get it again  Thanks

Delicious food with huge portions! Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for takeaway!
