Hands down the best fish and chips I have ever had. We where looking for an early lunch, we arrived at 11 am, just as they were opening the door, we were surprised that everything was ready to go. We ordered 3 sweet lip, 4 potato scallops and a small serve of chips. We received three Ginormous pieces of fish, six potato scallops and a huge amount of chips. Incredible value, and it all tasted amazing. The staff were so friendly and worked so well together.
Cod and chips, 6 sea scallops, $40. Food was great, but not worth $40. Later found out I could have brought sea scallops and chips along with the cod and chips as a box meal for cheaper,. Would have been nice to see individual prices displayed, or recommendations from the retailer.
Had lunch at Swains Seafood & Salad Bar, the food was done well, with big portions, nicely cooked and overall good service. So why no 5 stars, two words, Allergy Policy. Weird that on the bench top was their policy around how they say if you have any allergies don't eat there. Now understand the owner may have had issues with this, but it just seemed to heavy handed and not necessary. Would recommend for those without allergies.
Oh em gee at the food here nSo good I nearly cried nHave just moved to Gladdy and haven’t found a decent fish n chip shop til now. I like the limited menu as it means that you do those things well. It gets SUPER busy lunch and we just beat the rush nWe got the Cod n Chip lunch special for $10, chips were a good serve of rustic type potato. The fish had the perfect batter which wasn’t too thick. Two pineapple fritters and a banana one were also perfect. We ate them a bit hot cause they were all so good. Our new go to
Excellent fish and chips. Chips were beautiful. Batter was awesome. Nice clean shop. Best I’ve had anywhere for a long time
