Story

Sushi Zipang is a family-owned and operated Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Cairns. Our dishes, including the teriyaki and tonkotsu ramen, are based from our origins as a Traditional Japanese Chef from Tokyo.
We pride ourselves on serving you authentic ramen, noodle and rice bowls and sushi with no added MSG. Our restaurant is children friendly.
We are licenced to serve alcohol and have a nice selection of beers, wines and saki.

i’ve been going here for 5 years, the ramen and sushi has always been delicious! tastes like Japan! thank you for your consistent flavours and wonderful service!!
Very pleasant restaurant with kind and polite staff. I had a mixed sashimi bowl, which was amazing. Good quality fish. There are a lot of other options, including a sushi train.
I ordered the wakame salad and the hot and spicy ramen. It was nothing too special. I felt there was too much cabbage in the ramen.
Am surprised to find such decent and reasonable pricing Japanese Food in Cairns Esplanade. The cooked food is pretty authentic and delicious, while the sashimi is considered rather cheap. Definitely worth a try if you happened to be at the area and craving for some Japanese cuisine. Service is excellent too.
Great Japanese Food in the heart of Esplanade Cairns. We ordered Don and ramen soup for dinner and was really surprised that it’s tasted authentic and delicious. Friendly staff and the food is reasonably priced too. Definitely worth a try.
Very authentic Japanese food. It is definitely one of the best in Australia. I went to eat there everyday when I was in Cairns. Always good food and good service. Highly recommend.
