I booked a private lesson for my partner. The instructor, Cam, was a local surfer with a lot of experience. He was knowledgeable about conditions and took his time explaining, as well as giving my partner plenty of time in the waves, going overtime to ensure he could finish on a high. My partner was able to stand up on the board with the first wave and got plenty more excellent rides during his 1.5 hr lesson. Wouldn't have been possible without Cam! We're super happy with his instruction and would be happy to come back for another lesson any time! I definitely recommend Surf Sessions for complete novices!
Cam gave a detailed explanation of the surfing fundamentals then boiled things down to simple things to focus on which helped immensely, improved more in one session than years of doing it myself. Value for money!
Awesome introductory surf program for the little ones. Very engaging and encouraging instructors. Highly recommend.
