i've seen SO many one-star reviews, which I think doesn't have much to do with the shop. Like the one which says that they sold expired food, maybe you got it from the expired rack and if not, have you thought maybe it's because of the manufacturer's fault, not the supermarket's fault. I saw a review about the parking. That is also not the supermarket's fault. The car parking is for everyone around Sunson supermarket and Sunson to use. So when you say that people recklessly drive there. Is it really Sunson's fault. You can't expect Sunson to teach them how to drive. Anyways I am a regular customer and I love the snack section, my children absolutely love the food and I love the prices, I would recommend it to everyone. They also have a massive variety of sauce to buy. None of them are expensive and usually cheaper then the one's I've seen from other stores.
The go to place for Chinese ingredients and snacks in Christchurch. Also have a separate souvenir shop down the back.
great place for good asian groceries, their discount rack is super good!!! theres lots of other chinese / asian food available here, including fresh produce! definitely recommend checking this place out. it’s fully airconned too so its quite a pleasant shopping experience!!
You could get most Asian stock and groceries from here at an affordable price. It gets really busy and difficult to secure a car park on most weekends. Note the roads are filled with potholes so someone at the council probably has to pay attention to it.

Busy supermarket, opens straight into vege section. It is a bit cramped and there is generally crowded. Lots of options for different Asian countries foods including some baking and large freezer section. Check out can be a wait and is quite tight.
Excellent place to get your Asian cooking needs. Store layout isn't the best. Large variety of different sauces and fresh tofu
Best Place for fresh Green Vegetables!
Price is cheaper than PAK n SAVE. What more could you ask for?
Best place for tofu, vegetarian "meats" both packaged/tinned and frozen, fresh noodles, good value and quality vegetables and herbs. The vege sausages in the freezer are my favourite of all supermarket ones I've tried in NZ. The staff are helpful and efficient but there are often queues at busier times. Weekday mornings are a good time to go if possible.
