This supermarket is profitable due to the proximity for many elderly folk in the area. In all reality it is abysmally run. Just bought an orange juice that was one and a half years expired so had to dispose of it. Very poor range. Stock rotation is obviously terrible, and half of the products aren't labelled with prices, so god knows what half of the items cost. Also no self service aisles, and most of the time there are at least a couple of the scarce checkouts closed. If you are looking for a supermarket in the area there are a couple of New Worlds that are far, far better run.

Always love shopping here But tonight went to get some groceries and one of your staff her name is Ala is very ignorant and soo rude. I just ask her if I can still use my one card while paying cash, as I dont usually pay by cash and she just give a rude look and say Yeah and turn away. She gives me my change and I said Thank you and she didnt even say anything. Shes very ignorant and rude. Will never come here to do my shopping again.

The checkout person did not acknowledge any of her customers. Was surly and not interested when I asked her to make sure the strawberries needed to be packed separately.

A large corner dairy. Doesn't have everything but all the basics are there.

Always shop at Countdown the staff at avonhead are very friendly and very helpful I enjoy all the specials too
