Cute place situated in an unassuming alleyway with both outdoor and indoor options. Cool retro old school vibe. Ordered a soy and oat cappuccino - very generous with the chocolate. Reuben sandwich and the bagel with halloumi was pretty decent. Overall quite a pleasant place, menu is catered to your traditional cafe food consisting of toasts, sandwiches and bagels.
Lovely atmosphere, that is away from the hub-hub of city streets. Nice and relaxed for someone like myself that isn't big on loud/crowded spaces. Great portion sizes and lovely food, not to mention the coffee/hot chocolates were heavenly.
Great food! I mean, more like amazing. We ordered A Smoked trout with a poached egg for breakfast. Great combination of flavours. A shared plate served on two separate plates. Good coffee and yummy almond biscuits for just 2 dollars each.Food: 5/5

Brissy's best kept secret - a blink and you'd miss it Cafe with awesome coffee and a piccolo only works with a good blend and a good barista and the best home-made Granola I've had for ages. I'll come back for sure.
First of all, the coffee here is delicious, so I've been here 2-3 times recently. The day I brought my friend to inform him, I was so embarrassed by the mistake of the staff. I am Korean and have been living in Australia for 2 years. I'm not good at English, but the staff said to a friend, "Are you good at English? This person doesn't speak English well, but you seem to speak English well." I went for coffee and got an English assessment. I felt so bad. You have to speak English well here, but you can eat. I won't be visiting until I can speak English well.
Just had Breakfast & Alm Latte. Was simply amazing. Avocado Toast on GF.. so much flavour & the Dukkah was the best finish. Thanks Guy's, see you when I get back to Brisbane
Lady at the counter was strangely rude toward me, though I saw her laughing with friends so she clearly wasn’t simply having a bad day. Saw another review on here of a Korean patron receiving similar discriminatory treatment because of their English proficiency. I’m Singaporean East Asian features, but fluent in English, hence I believe this bad treatment may be consistent toward Asian patrons. Staff member is a POC herself so I don’t really quite understand. There are several great cafes in the area so best avoid this. They do seem quite friendly to their regulars. Bagel was pretty good, but not going back.
Excellent food and coffee - had eggs with smoked ocean trout with labneh - very tasty - we would have been back the next day but they are not open on the weekend - although Mr Strauss said we could have a key...
