I just completed my course of book 1 with Lucia at Ciao Bella. She’s a fantastic teacher. She made lessons fun and interesting. It really helps to know the basics of the language especially when you’re planning to travel to Italy. We were a group of 6 and lucia’s classroom is very comfortable. Highly recommend everyone who’s interested in learning Italian to join her class.
Lucia is an amazing teacher. She has the charisma to make you absorb all the knowledge in a fan way and you don't even know about it. I do not think I ever went in a class and not have a great time. Well structured course and well organised! I love the extra activities, they make you feel like you submerge yourself in the Italian culture. Full marks from my side!
Our family has been having Italian lessons with Lucia at Ciao Bella for the last 12 months in preparation for our trip to Italy. We knew very little of the language, but Lucia is patient and kind and our classes have been fun and enjoyable. We have learnt a lot of practical words and phrases which we can use conversationally on our trip, which is great. Another aspect of being a student at Ciao Bella is the cultural experiences Lucia organises, and we have met a lot of other students while learning about ‘everything Italy’ including food, wine, movies and songs, which has given us a greater understanding of the culture and the people. It has been such a pleasure learning Italian with Lucia. She teaches from the heart and has such a passion for what she does. It has been a great experience.
I did Lucia's Intro to Italian conversational course before I went to work in Italy on a bike tour. Even though everyone tells me, English is spoken, I ended up in some small Northern Italian towns where knowing how to converse in Italian was so helpful for me personally and in my work! We had a small class of six to seven students weekly and had such fun learning and laughing not to mention singing. Highly recommend!
'Talking Italian' with Lucia of Ciao Bella has been a marvellous experience! Lessons have been fun, at a good pace, and great preparation for Italian language for travellers. Classmates were fun too - we had a great time. Recommend highly. Anna
Honestly, Ciao Bella is my third attempt at finding an Italian school that suits my learning style. I am so pleased I did. Lucia is amazing, fun, interactive and able to mould the learning to suit the student. Add some Italian history and culture and you have the perfect scenario. The slogan says it all - the fun way to learn Italian! Lucia makes the lessons vibrant and engaging with just the right amount of support and extension. Only the standard introductory course for me so far butI do not hesitate to recommend Ciao Bella!
Lucia certainly lives up to her mission of “learning Italian the fun way” but Lucia is also an excellent, organised, thorough and sequential teacher. I feel like I have learnt a lot with Lucia this term. Grazie mille Lucia.
I loved Lucia's class. She kept me interested and engaged the whole time using a variety of teaching methods games, group work, cultural lessons etc.. I also loved the social nights! Being able to watch Italian movies, enjoy Italian cuisine and chat with others in the class made her courses even more fun! Highly recommend!
A very fun and enjoyable way to learn Italian! The compact course is a great beginner course to learn the very basics and essentials of Italian. Lucia is the most fabulous teacher, so encouraging, enthusiastic and always making the class laugh. Very supportive small group of people, and felt very comfortable to practise out loud to the class. Highly recommend ciao Bella!
