A casual Korean eatery offering lots of braised dishes, soups, hot pots & Korean sausages, the food is delicious & comforting. The pork bone soup with rice was tasty, warm, comforting and satisfying. The Korean "blood sausage" has vermicelli inside & similar texture to a blood sausage & is quite bland on its own but very tasty with the flavoured salt that accompanies it. Kimchi is very disappointing & not proper fermented Kimchi as my Korean friend pointed out. It appeared to be cooked cabbage doused in sweet chilli sauce & missing the chilli element & is way too sweet. Overall, a enjoyable casual meal with friendly service.
Absolutely love this place. Its simple no frills traditional korean setting but absolutely delicious and their most popular soup dishes and main korean dishes as well as quality banchan sides. This is a local fave and the soups are loved by all. Perfect for after a night of drinking to settle the stomach. The owners are so lovely and welcoming. Prices are so cheap and generous servings.
Much better than 'Ymone Haejangkuk' I think. Broth is thicker than Ymone. Nice hospitality cozy atmosphere.

My go-to place for hot Korean stews! Perfect place for late Autumn nights and the Winter season. Severely underrated place, so I highly recommend this restaurant.
Stra haejangkuk,what I noticed was the limited options,it's mainly soup based meals Had the chicken garlic soup which I liked and wasn't full of small bones Had there seafood pancake which was big in size and nice in taste,not stingy with the seafood About 4 side dishes came out The a/c was just at a level where we were hot but that was us sitting next to it Food came out a little quicker than expected Prices what I expected Good for cold winters days
This corner restaurant boasts a bit more of a family, traditional vibe. Great beef stirfry full of flavour and plenty of light throughout.
The best Haejangkuk in Stratty. It's got that nice korean vibe to it, like you're eating in Seoul straight out of a kdrama
Better than Ymone, the immediate competitor down the road thanks to its more diverse menu. Recommend the garlic chicken
