Advertised as cottage. Basically a shack. After arriving and following messy walkway up towards our hillside cottage, there was rubbish, weeds and rotting piles of foliage along the way. Path was not clear or level at all and on arriving to the front door and viewing our 'private backyard' that was littered with cigarette buts, random stacked furniture and general rubbish (half a pair of scissors laying on the ground outside..?), we entered the cottage. We were met with a stale smell, a very dimly lit room and a grubby, sticky 'welcome book'. The tvs remotes batteries were completely dead. There was a dead spider sitting on the grubby window sill, there was one wine glass available and an extremely loud older fridge running which made it very hard to relax. We found make up and brown goop through the bed linen which was very unsettling. Our $45 camper of breakfast came Sunday morning. It consisted of some lovely fresh loaf of bread, mushrooms, tomatoes a small handful of spinach and some bruised, insect eaten Basil. Attempting to make breakfast with out the proper instruments, proved to be stressful. There was no bench, let alone table to prepare or eat at and no bread knife to slice the bread. The salt in the cupboard was greasy and grubby. Over all - this place has potential. The garden needs a clean and the place a clean and lick of paint. Considering going home a night early as being at home is far more relaxing than being here.
