I have a new development property and one of the AC Units wasn't installed properly. I have been dealing with a "technician" who now turns out to be a second year apprentice who not only has been indisposed at training school - but today rudely hung up on me and swore at me. So i am very unimpressed. This issue has been ongoing for well over a month and is a defect to my property. I don't see how an apprentice can rightfully charge $185 for a call out fee when they can't even install a split system correctly. I have  been chasing him up under the impression he was a fully certified tech and this is inexcusable for a business to have an apprentice deal with customers. Nice and accommodating? - THEY ARE DEFINITELY NOT. IF YOU WANT TO GET SWORE AT AND HUNG UP ON BY AN APPRENTICE NAMED COLIN - THEN THIS IS YOUR PLACE.

Very impressed with this company. I contacted them at short notice to install a new air conditioner given summer is upon us. They were polite and helpful and the job was done quickly and without drama. Thank you...great to have a new cooler for summer! Denise.

Warning: Consider the following before choosing StayCool.

For a moment I'd like you to put yourself in my situation so that you can understand and warn others not to choose StayCool. We have a newly developed a house and one of the StayCool installed split systems aren't working properly. It's been over a month and the issue still isn't resolved because StayCool want to charge a $185 call-out fee to fix a problem that otherwise wouldn't have existed had they installed the unit properly. My point of contact, who I believed to be the manager at the time was very rude and showed no interest in helping and in fact when my partner called to follow up on the situation she was told "you don't know s**t" and hanged up on. It turns out that the point of contact, is an apprentice technician (although he could be both...God help us if so). I even offered to cover the cost of the trip: 66c per km of travel recognised in the eyes of the ATO, which in turn is about 30km round trip equating to $20 but seeing as how low it is I offered $80. As I proposed this Mr.Apprentice/possibly manager/possibly both/ quite possibly none seemed confused after hearing the words ATO and cents per kilometre and immediately told me I would receive a call back about this offer but received none. I tried three more follow up attempts, each of them failing as my contact was allegedly at trade school ( which I suppose is really a redeeming feature if we take away something positive from this entire debacle; that the aforementioned individual has the mental and physical capacity to choose and attend an institute designed to improve his education). Anyhow I'm writing this because we have lost confidence in other avenues to resolve the issue and after reading other Google reviews it seems we're not the only one who has experienced this (see picture) and hopefully after you've read this you can be better informed about choosing the right people of which, for us, StayCool is definitely not... In fact i'm starting to think the name StayCool is actually a reminder to customers to not lose their s**t  and to "stay cool" when dealing with the company...

p.s. I'm not suggesting ALL StayCool staff are unprofessional and rude, but I haven't been shown any evidence that they're not i.e. nobody has called back to even check up on our situation, made counter proposals, showed understanding etc, all the things you would expect in any other professional company.

Worst experience I have had to date with any company. Months of headaches trying to deal with them. They are nothing short of absolutely incompetent, rude, dismissive and deceptive..  Copper union pipe leaked and let refrigerant escape due to poor install. Unit ran low and iced up ended up with water/ice and oil all down my wall and over my tv and tv unit. Paint damage which they refused to rectify or take ownership of. They blamed the quality of my paint for sustaining damage, then accused me of damaging it by trying to clean it every excuse in the book.  When I finally got them out after months they broke the cover of the unit then said thats how it already was. Even though I watched them do it

Also drain badly done wont drain with gravity so water pooling in the wall and unit.   Outside unit mounted without idolators and screwed into a slab, its now rusting.They removed the oil and water soaked insulation which is meant to be left and didn't bother replacing now the wall is getting condensation. 

They lied flat out and I had to present photographic evidence that luckily I had and a job sheet. Denied even doing the work. I had to chase them for months to get try get anything fixed. Rude and unhelpful staff,  as a last resort went to the owner who was arrogant and rude /abusive and unwilling to help.   

I had to get Seeley to step in and even they had issues with dealing with them trying to get anything fixed. They sent emails saying poor work would be fixed then did nothing.  Extremely badly run company with install issues that I will have had to pay to rectify. Took me having to ask multiples times for certificate of compliance years later to actually get it.  I would avoid at all costs poor install, and impossible too deal with. Save yourself a lot of headaches and use someone decent

we got a reverse cycle unit installed this year and the installers them selves were great! the service from the office staff were very helpful and quick with booking a date and time to install.
