Attended on Thursday for cataract extraction. What a professional and experienced team of medical professionals. Everything ran efficiently and I was made to feel at ease and was looked after amazingly. Thank you for everything.
I was up the hospital the other day and the nurses and doctor was amazing, they treated me with respect and looked after me very well.
I recently had a Cataract extraction on March 9th 2022 at Stawell hospital be Dr Toohey I would like to thank Dr Toohey and all of the staff at the Hospital. I have had a number of operations over the years and I have never attended a hospital so organised and running right on time. Although the staff deal with patients efficiently and in a timely manor this does not impact patient care at all the staff were all very friendly and treat you with respect and make sure you are fully informed as to what is happening and why. I would personally give a 10 star plus rating if I could. Thank you for the nicest hospital experience that I have had so far you are all amazing and my vision is much clearer now so thank you again Angela
First off they are well understaffed, waiting times are ridiculous and the medical assessment I had received when I was sick was completely wrong and could have cost me my life. The nurses are nice but i was diagnosed with gastro first and then they explained that I have pain from a combination of gastro, period pains and dehydration. my symptoms included nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain mainly near the lower of my tummy in the centre, loss of appetite and a bit of diarrhea. Blood tests were taken and sent basically nowhere and they only checked my blood pressure and lightly touched the area in which i felt the most pain. My dad knew something was wrong so we went to see a doctor yesterday and he diagnosed me with appendicitis, tests still needed to be done to confirm this. So i was sent to the Ararat Hospital where a blood test and an ultrasound was taken. I could see straight away there was inflammation in my appendix, and a lot of it. I was taken down to Ballarat to the emergency ward to be looked over by a surgeon and my surgery is scheduled for today. My point is that if dad and I had of listened to the nurse practitioner I could've possibly lost my life in the following days because of a misdiagnosis. Very disappointed with the staff. Do not go to this Hospital if you're planning to live. Thank you
Arrived in ambulance and was triaged as category 1 in other words could die within minutes. Doctor refused to come see me at the time and let the nurses struggle on their own. Next morning same doctor did not do any assessments and got a nurse to tell me I could go home. That was after I kept passing out. Every contact I had with this hospital and other family have had it has been terrible. We avoid at all costs and refuse to go there. This was 6 - 8 years ago. I hope the new CEO has put better clinical governance systems into place since then.
The nurses and radiologist are just fabulous. Not forgetting the paramedics and the ambulance driver, they are just wonderful. I couldn't thank you guys more than what words could express especially when my husband was so ill. International standard. A++++
I could not have asked for a better team than theirs during the critical time of my life. My husband and I felt well looked after and the service was excellent in the emergency section. Keep up the amazing work that you all do!
On holidays and my youngest son had his allergic reaction to something. Can not thank the staff and doctor at this hospital. Lovely mannerisms towards my son and myself.
My daughter attended SRH urgent care this arvo and received the best care possible from the team . Thankyou one and all. We give you 10 stars.
Do not attend this hospital as they have no duty of care there they released a friend of ours who was meant to go to Horsham hospital or Ballarat because of an open wound butfbut they were full his sugar levels was 22 his blood pressure was high and because no taxis were running they are making him walk home at 10:30 at night and his just about collapsing.
