I was there this morning to get some coffee, muffin and banana bread. The barista is very unwelcoming and not even greeting. No smile No service No communication Not even thank you. And the worst part is the coffee. I asked for mocha strong chocolate and look what I got. The coffee is not even full and how on earth the Mocha has no froth? This is not even considered a Flat White. This is unacceptable at all. I pay around $16 for this? And yes she ruined my morning.
Interesting Breakfast cafe but nobody there and service felt indifferent. On the outside this looks like a great place. Food was timely and tasty but not hot. Maybe it was empty because it was lunchtime but my young-ish server who was efficient and courteous didn’t seem to want to be there. Food good, service appropriate but not warm and atmosphere fine but no one there. I would go back to see if anything changed.

Beautiful cafe, welcoming staff, gentle music playing, prompt service, delicious food at a reasonable price! We had the salmon don and fried chicken burger - both absolutely hit the spot!
Station St Cafe 3.7 Cute cafe right beside the station as the name suggests. Surprisingly large and not unpleasantly decorated with occasional splashed of greenery. Good music playing. Overall, there’s a good relaxed feel here. Quick stop only today as I was time poor. The coffee here was ace. Rich, silky and powerful. Just as I like it. A good tasty reasonably priced egg, cheese and bacon muffin was had as well. Service was friendly and cheerful. On what I saw today, I’m not surprised this cafe is well regarded.
I must start this review with an appreciation for the fact that I believe when I visited the establishment had been under new management for only a matter of days. That having been said, they were under staffed and the food was…bad. While our drinks were delicious a matcha latte and a tumeric version the food took well over 30mins to arrive. The beans that my partner ordered where straight out of a tin with some cut up cheese on top and some fairly standard bread, at most there was about two inches of chorizo diced up and fried in it as well. This was not worth the $24 price point. My eggs Benedict were cooked nicely, on some standard bacon with a potato has brown that had clearly been cooked a few days prior and grilled off in a pan with some commercially available hollandaise on top. Again, not worth the +$24 price point. All in all, considering the time taken, the quality of food it was a less than enjoyable experience. It was disappointing to not have had a post on Instagram that indicated new management so that could have been taken into account by new customers. This place is 100% living off the well established credentials of the previous owners.
