This place office support for people struggling with addiction of heroin offering support program for the Stboxzone or monthly injections to stop opiate withdrawal . I know in the past they had a methadone program from my own experience going from methadone to the monthly injection was Life saving no more judgement by pharmacist and not having to take a solution everyday to feel ok normal staff a very caring and judgement free they do this job cos they care Benny monheit has more than 20 years experience addiction of heroin and goes beyond and above I know when you first started I meant Benny at the Alfred hospital and every time I was admitted to hospital he would always come check up to make sure I was ok . Just want to say a big Thank you to the term star health you saved my life. I so glad I found use in time .. Now I'm mother of it 20 year old and that wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for their support. 23 years CLEAN and never want to go back.
As an update, we did email through to Star Health only to receive a 3 line, poor response. Don't attend this clinic for testing! This was our experience.... We arrived at 8.35 after checking to see what time you opened I thought it was 8.30 but may have been mistaken? and there were 3 people ahead of us. Your processes from then on are not only antiquated but definitely not efficient! The first person was taken in at 9.05 and then the next went shortly after....by the time we left it was after 9.30. There was only one staff member on doing the tests and over 100 people in the queue. The lady who was telling people to check-in didn't inform anyone how long the wait would be and just shrugged when we suggested it might be a nice idea. We personally spoke to a few people advising them to leave and go somewhere else. What I'm sure is standard protocol, we were advised that results could take 24-48 hours but we knew that more often than not, that was quicker. At no point were we advised that you had to send all the tests away and then only received 'bulk' results back which would mean a delay! Subsequently, our neighbour who was tested at 10am at the Albert Park drive through site, received her results at 10.30pm the same evening and another friend went to the Alfred also receiving results within 24 hours and yet we are still here, at 1.30pm with no results we received the text at 1.44pm.
A terrible place. Taxpayer's money well spent! I drove over to the other side of town, paid $70 to see the doctor and then organised a blood test, only to find that the doctor had left the clinic. Then, I had Dr Jospeh phone, unaware he was phoning to provide Pathology results. He was rude and arrogant but probably enjoyed the money from Medicare.
Worst place to get a covid test in Melbourne. Lined up at 8.10am, and there was already a massive queue. By the time I finally got in and tested it was 2.5 hours later. The staff were very unhelpful to those in line, and when I got inside there was only one staff member doing testing - which would probably explain the massive delay. Additionally, I had to direct a couple of people who had shown up for vaccines and were unable to locate any staff outside of the building. To make matters worse, people.I know who were tested through other sites not Star Health associated received their results either on the same day they were tested around the same time I was or within 24 hours they were tested at least 6 hours after I was. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting on the results. I would avoid this testing site at all costs, and unfortunately that would likely mean taking public transport to another location to get tested. With such a poor delay in being able to test, and get results back, it's no wonder that the virus has the opportunity to spread.
This is by far, the worst experience I've had. I booked an appt through HotDoc today at 11.30am. I live in Abbotsford and because I don't have Medicare, this is pretty much the only option that I've got. Unfortunately. I had everything ready. I made sure I filled in the required forms, I was there on time, not earlier nor later as per the website, I checked in with my QR code and more than ready to get the vaccine. As soon as I approached to the counter, the wearing a red jumper was absolutely rude. She was upset because she couldn't find my registration, which I did in advance to avoid any delays, but she didn't believe me. She pretty much treated me like if I was stupid and using a very patronising tone of voice, which made me feel really uncomfortable and upset. After regrettably assessing my , she turned me away and cancelled my appointment because I wasn't eligible at this stage. I am happy to wait but I am not willing to be treated in such aggressive and rude way. You don't deserve one star, you deserve ZERO.
Organised covid vaccination booking with my partner who has had 1 dose for an afternoon vaccination. Was given 5 week waiting time and one day before booking sends voicemails asking to change the time. When asked why time needed to be changed, was advised as requirement from DHHS. Upon calling DHHS was advised they have nothing to do with this centre. All this wasted a good hour of time on the phone. Subsequently was told no changes after another call. Morning of the vaccination was rung once more asking to change the time. When I said no changes can be made the booking was cancelled due to earthquake. This overall shows how poorly managed this centre is. Had other medical centres not accommodated my partner would have been outside the 6 week window for second vaccination. Continually calling and wasting everyone's time to change appointments at the last minute with fake excuses. Never again will I entertain such a poorly managed centre
I saw a so-called “dentist” there who couldn’t even tell that I have a crown on one of my teeth put in BACKWARDS!!! I didn’t realise that “dentists” WHO HAVE SO OBVIOUSLY GONE BLIND are still allowed to practice!!! I think his name was “Hugh Read”, but he was probably lying about that. I wouldn’t call him “Dr Hugh Read”, for that would imply that he knows something about some branch of medicine. He should have been put out to pasture before he went BLIND! If I could have given NO STARS, I would have.
The Star Health Team running the COVID Vaccination site at Prahran Town Hall are one of the rudest teams I have dealt with. Firstly I booked my appointment 3 weeks ago and had reminders from the team around my vaccination today with no mention to me not being eligible. On arrival I was shouted at by the security lady on the door and told 'no no no you are not over 50'. This was the first time I had been told anything about this and why would the team not advise their patients if this is the case rather than letting them travel to the appointment on the day? After speaking to a team member behind the counter I was advised that Star Health are not giving out the AstraZeneca to anyone under 50 and was told to call the 'COVID Hotline' to book an appointment else where. When calling the 'COVID Hotline' I was advised that this site should be giving the injection to under 50's as per the new legislation from government. They advised me to tell the team to ring the CVOID hotline for clarity on this and that I am eligable. Clearly this site is not informed on the changes which is extremely worrying and makes sense to why we are so far behind with our vaccines. When going back into the building to ask the team again on this, I was shouted at by 2 team members that their CEO is not giving the go ahead for vaccines. Well why didn't you call me to advise then? In summary, waste of time, unprofessional & rude service all around. Would Not Recommend to anyone going for the vaccine.
Booked an appt today for my toddler for a covid test through the online appt at the Prahran respiratory clinic run by Star Health. Get there and it’s closed!!! The phones aren’t being picked up by anyone, just rings and says “a staff member will be with you shortly” for over 20 minutes. So disappointing, especially when I’m bringing my kid in! If you’re not open, don’t allow online bookings!!!!!
