I've had two prescriptions filled with the incorrect medication/product in the last two months.  I'm pregnant and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.  They filled my insulin with the wrong one, but had the correct medication on the label they adhered. So, I was unable to get my insulin dose. Today they filled the wrong test strips for my glucose meter and they are not compatible with the meter that I have which they gave me and should have record of. I have had issues with going hypoglycemic in the last week and now have no test strips to check my fasting level in the morning. This puts me and my unborn child at risk. I extremely disappointed and frankly, scared. Handing out incorrect medications can be life threatening.  A main part of pharmacist job is quality assurance. They are supposed to be double checking the work of the pharmacy technician. Where is the quality assurance here?  How are these mistakes getting passed the pharmacist? I will be reporting both of these instances to the Health and Disability Commissioner.  Edit: I added two stars because the owner saw my review,  went to the pharmacy at midnight,  then drove to my home and dropped off the correct test strips in my mailbox.  That effort was above and beyond.  The owner also called me today to apologize and said that he would have a meeting with the staff about medication errors.

Lovely little pharmacy out of the main shopping centre in Rangiora with a few shops and great cafe  nearby. A few good ideas for bithday and Christmas. Good supply of health substances. Staff are always quick to help you

I’ve been going to Stan’s Pharmacy now for around 7-8 years. Always so grateful for their opening hours, the care and attention staff alway show. The amount of useful information they share about your prescription and any interactions to be mindful of etc. Stan’s Pharmacy is the best in town and so grateful for their advice and care. We went in to Stan’s Pharmacy Rangiora this morning for our Covid booster jabs…along with a long  queue of others We were thoroughly impressed by the way all of the staff treated everyone.  Not only did they have to  assist all their daily morning customers including administering methadone doses they confidently and courteously ensured the Covid boosters were provided in timely and friendly manner. Well done team, you all deserve a good old fashioned pat on the back for a job very well done… Keep up the great work!

I am exempt from wearing a mask and showed them proof of this, but they discrinated against me and refused me entry to purchase medicine for sick child. This is absolutely shameful and discusting behaviour and I would encourage people to take their business elsewhere. I then tried Rangiora Pharmacy next to Durham health and had no such issues and will be giving them my future custom instead.

Well I went in today for my Covid Booster and all the staff members were either sorting out peoples medications which I understand is important or they were just walking around, I walked in, she took my name, DOB and time of appointment down then continued to say “sit down or float around here until someone gets you” the way she said it was rather rude, didn’t appreciate the tone at all, then when I tried to ask how much longer, I was completely ignored & when I got my booster, the man that gave it to me didn’t ask me if I felt alright with my other jabs, never explained about how you could possibly feel ill, just called me name, injected me then just again ignored me, so I had to be the one to ask if I could wait in my car and all I got was “umm is there anybody in the car at the moment”  Overall, I do not recommend this pharmacy whether it be for prescription or injection, I will just stick to Durham health.

I use Stans Pharmacy above all the others.  When they opened the doors it was amazing having great service and it has continued on today.  The staff are amazing Deidre Josh Brad Eric.  So welcoming Have a great Christmas to you all. Keep up the great service

I bought some medicine off the shelf and when I checked with other local pharmacy, Stan’s was more expensive than others. I could not return it because I had opened the packaging.

Only pharmacy open 7 days in the area, with  good opening hours doesn't shut at 1630hrs like many. Great pharmacy service, good selection of products, including 10-40vol developer and toners to suit referring to types of hair dye for those who don't know  as well as all the usual pharmacy products, ie. pain killers, creams , sunglasses, make-up and currently on the counter cute little tubs of vaseline,  about 1/5th of size the ones we used to buy . $2 Lucky dips for boys and girls. Loyalty program for repeat customers. Only thing that could be improved is the knowledge and customer service skills of the young women cashiers.
