Thoroughly enjoyed walking around and through this lovely cathedral. Apart from the history of its development including the key people involved its fascinating to see / understand the architectural and engineering aspects. Defintely worth a visit followed by a walk through Fitzroy Gardens.

Beautiful Catholic church with a dark stone exterior and a very ornate interior. Worth a walk over to take a look. As long as there isn't a service you can wander over and see the chapels and the impressive stained glass. It's free to look around! I wasn't originally going to go, but am happy that I did!

The cathedral and gardens are amazing and beautiful however the Asian tourists really do need to be educated about the etiquette of visiting a church. Today I saw a woman pull her son’s pants down and allowed him to urinate in the garden right near one of the saints, just outside the church. Nearly hitting people with his urine. Sorry, but that’s not on!

The divine mother cathedral of the Archdiocese of Melbourne. Beautiful Gothic architecture, well-kept grounds, and friendly and helpful staff explains why so many tour buses and ordinary Melbournians visit so frequently.
