Great school, great staff. The Italian teacher is the best. She deserves more money...
Attended the Solemn mass here on a Sunday - they sing the Creed Credo in Deum in Latin which I liked :-. The assistant priest said a very good homily, and did a very good job, but had announced, that sadly the presbytery had been broken into during the week, and a window had been smashed. Had a sort of ‘rough’ Dandenong feel to it to me, not being a local, but seemed to have a really good community that supports each other to make up for that.nBeautiful, spacious church interior, with many wonderful statues for veneration. St Gerard and St Joseph statues particularly beautiful, and the side chapel good too. The Parish priest was away when I came here - but I had heard he is a very holy, helpful and fervent Catholic priest. Assistant priest was great anyway. Seemed like sort of fervent Catholics here, that like their traditional mass so do I.nEuropean cafe/deli across the road is super, as is the Sri Lankan catering shop. All set in a quiet strip.nBeautiful statue of Our Lady to the right front of the church, and a nice little Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes, / Saint Bernadette outside. Choir was very beautiful here too, and the organist / choir director did an amazing job too. Only complaint is that the picture of Saint Mary MacKillop to the left of the church, was a bit strange looking! Would come back here again though. 5 star place!
One of my favourite places to go to Mass. The church itself is not attractive, just a rectangular block of yellow stone. Flat roof too, so the acoustics are not good. BUT the people there are amazing! The assistant priest Fr Denton is amazing and the servers and the parishioners and the choir members are such incredible people. This is an amazing place to go to pray or just talk to someone about something.
This is a Great Parish Church in North Dandenong vic..people from all walks of life attend the Church..7years ago this Parish Celebrated its 50th Anniversary of being a Parish..and I happen to purchase a bottle of Muscat wine. Which is still sealed. and on sale...I gave it 3 stars because it has a dangerous exit from the car park to the road. Gladstone Road can be very busy even on Sunday...
My family & I have been attending this Parish for 5 years & I cannot express how much we love it here. The reverence is amazing at all Masses, the Traditional Latin Mass is lovely to attend & the 10.30am High Mass with a mixture of English & Latin is such a beautiful Holy experience, it leaves other Masses celebrated especially in the Sale diocese not in the same realm. I'm so thankful to the Lord we left our old Parish & found St. Gerard's with Fr. Arthur & Fr. Denton who are dressed like real Priest & preach true Traditional Catholic Teachings. If you are seeking these qualities for your children like we were I couldn't recommend this Parish highly enough. I would give it more stars if I could!!!!
