4/22: Lovely atmosphere. Had the Fresh Berry Croissant for lunch, and for $15 it was quite filling. Exceeded my expectations. Update 8/22: Bought the Springvale Benedict and Raspberry Almond cake. The Benedict was at the perfect temperature, eggs nice and runny, and the cake was amazing. We sat outside underneath the shelter, listening to the rain. Couldn't have been more relaxing!
I am Celiac and they are amazing with gluten free options. Yummy food and if you ask they will get fresh gluten free options from the back to reduce risk of contamination. They also have amazingly fast service and are always friendly :
My wife and I just stumbled upon this place by accident,I wish all accidents were this good. An amazing selection of plants of all types and sizes and the gift shop well stocked it's like one big sweet shop and the staff were all helpful.
Yes a fairly extensive Garden centre... However my grand daughter was in a hurry to leave... But I definitely will return for a decent look around being a keen gardener... However the good selection of pots were I thought on the expensive side...

Good garden centre with a good range of plants. We also stopped in for some lunch. Good food with good size proportions. Price was a little on the high side, but as stated, the meals were large.... Great staff and a nice little shop attached selling other items and gardening goods... Well worth a stop
Well Springvale Garden Centre, where to start. Very spacious surroundings, with excellent variety of plants and trees for this time of year, it will only get better as the season progresses. The staff what can l say about them, in all the areas couldn't be more helpful, they have a loyalty card when spending so much you receive $5.00 on your next purchase, this is in the cafeteria also which is a fantastic idea, not alot of garden centers give you this discount. There cafeteria is very good, they have a excellent selection from just a cheese scone, muffins, a cake, sandwich, to something cooked. I like the variety, presented very nicely. Excellent staff, again. There is also a gift area where you can pick up a woolly hat, scarf, gloves, vases, anything your heart might desire. Now we have to talk about prices, food if you want to go out for a lunch etc, you pay, sorry that's the way it is, nothing you can do about it, it's like it everywhere, from food to plants. I have been to alot of garden centres around Taranaki, Masterton, Palmerton North, Feilding, etc in my opinion Springvale Garden Centre is your best value for momey, also they carry a very good stock of each shrubs, trees, etc. This is in my opinion. Please don't hesitate to give Springvale Garden Centre a visit, l think it pretty much has it all. Thankyou Louise.
Disappointed I had to pay $1 for milk on the side for a single shot Americano. I was saving the cafe money by having a single shot of coffee. It could have been complimentary as it seems to be anywhere else.
