There was 2 of us dining on a Tuesday night. My friend had a classic Parmi and I had a porterhouse steak. My friend's Parmi was good and he enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my steak was terrible. I asked for a medium rare steak with sauce on the side. They say the steak is 300g, however I've worked in kitchens most of my life and I'd bet my home this raw weight steak is not that weight. The steak was cooked to perfection, however it was tough and inedible. The sauce was not served on the side and was really salty, again making the meal inedible. I tried to indicate to one staff member that I needed to talk to them and was ignored. Another staff member came over and was really helpful and immediately suggested that she organise another meal. I refused and just requested my money refunded. It was refunded without issue. We paid for the other meal and drinks we had. Unfortunately, I'll not go back!
We Called in with another couple last night for dinner without a booking, greeted by a very friendly young man who gave us a good table, We all had the specials which were great value, Well presented and piping hot. Could not fault the service, Food and atmosphere.
Entrees in general are expensive for what you receive in terms of quality. Lobster rolls 2 for $18 were extremely wet and mushy and served in what looked like supermarket mini entertainer buns. The steak I ordered as medium well arrived well done at one end and borderline bloody at the other.nnDrinks menus given on our previous visit were not provided and a query to staff was answered with a shrug of the shoulders. We also tried to order dessert after our mains at 8:15pm only to be told the kitchen had closed at 8.nnThis venue really needs to work out where they want to be positioned: at the moment they charge full restaurant prices but only provide basic pub service.
The bistro stuff rude, every single one of them. This place seems a bit racist. First visit i gave them the benefit of doubt, but after the second visit different staff same attiude, same weird looks. I am very disappointed as i have just a bought a property next to the club. Please do better or just tell us to leave if you dont want us there.
