My wife loves Spotlight. The store has a great selection. A person can buy decorations for birthdays and Christmas. Any sewing or knitting requirements are met with the vast array of fabrics, wool, knitting needles, sewing machines, etc. Art and craft - the selection is well covered, too. The staff are great. They are friendly and helpful. It's worth a visit. Check it out.
An outting for my senior citizen friend, she needed to lean on a trolley for mobility support. Although I accompanied her I was disappointed to witness the lack of assistance from staff. Consequently she slowly made her way around the large store eventually arriving at the section of interest. 15 minutes left to wander around on her own I personally felt was an unacceptable timeframe for an elderly struggling to find herself a warm blanket. I think she felt the same way about the lack of assistance and tried to bite her tongue about it, but sadly, in the end and on our way out, she produced an unrepeatable remark as we exited .
I have a small little business making capsule covers and bibs and you get home and realize you are short 10cm or more. I asked a lady to please make the fabric straight before u cut it and she said yes it will be got home and measured it myself and it is 10cm short. So now I can't make it because I am short. I can normally get 2 capsule covers but now I can only make 1
Always helpful staff and a great range. Threads seem overpriced and are best bought at a specialist store. But a terrific store overall, as most other reviewers write.
Spotlight is one of my favorite stores ! The selection of fabrics and threads is fantastic. Of course there is home wear and bedding and crafts, but for me it is stop no 1 when I need to make a performance costume. There is always so much inspiration
