By far the most modern spotlight I’ve been in in my whole life.nHowever despite the store being new and shiny I only noticed staff at the counters, I could not find a single staff member to help me while I was browsing the products.

I recently ordered two nutcrackers through Spotlight Burnside’s click-and-collect service, but the experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. After my money was physically debited from my account, I drove 30 minutes out of my way to collect the items, only to be told that a manager had put the nutcrackers on hold for someone else, and they would be picked up by 5 PM that day.nnThe process was baffling, to say the least. I spoke to several staff members trying to understand how this could happen. One staff member refused to give me her name, but eventually, Sue, a manager, was called over. Sue insisted there were no nutcrackers available, despite the fact that the nutcrackers were clearly standing to her right. When I pointed this out, I was told that Spotlight doesn’t usually hold Christmas products. When I asked why these were being held, there was no explanation.nnFinally, Maria, another staff member, came over and was just as confused as I was about why I, the paying customer, wasn’t able to take the products I had purchased. The question remains: why couldn’t the person who had these items on hold simply order them through click and collect themselves? It’s 2024, not 1990—online payment exists precisely to prevent situations like this, where products are falsely shown as available.nnThis whole experience was frustrating, poorly handled, and deeply unprofessional. I was left feeling that my time and money were completely disregarded. I will think twice before shopping at Spotlight Burnside again.
Extremely disappointed with the customer service. The staff was unprofessional and dismissive, and my concerns were completely ignored. I expected better from this establishment. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others
I recently ordered two Nutcrackers from Spotlight Burnside through Click & Collect, which I had already paid for. When I went to the store to pick up my order, I was told that I couldn't have the items because a staff member had put them on hold for themselves - even though they hadn't paid for them.nnThis was extremely disappointing and unprofessional. The Click & Collect process is supposed to ensure that items are reserved for customers who have completed their purchases, not for staff who claim them for personal reasons.
