Ordered Fish and chips with salad take away. Very friendly staff and very efficient. Order seemed to be very quick. When I got to the beach front and opened my order I was very surpised by the good presentation, not just thrown together and mixed up. Meal was excellent and salad seemed to be pretty fresh. Will return. Great Job. Cheers.
This was one of the worst Fish and Chips meals we have had as a family. Ordered 4x Battered Coral Trout and it felt like all we got was batter! The amount of coral trout inside of the batter was a joke. Absolute rip off for $10 a piece in my opinion and didn’t taste good at all. Food used to be so good at IN 2 Splash's...What happened??? Not happy, don’t waste your time.
Order the Fisherman’s catch so it would be freshly made but then put in food that has been sitting there for over an hour By far not the best fish & chips
$10 coral trout i doubt it even was, thinnest piece of dry old fish and half of it was batter. Came with a piece of rotten lemon and i could barely eat half of it. Then to top it all off it made me violently ill. You've lost a local
My personal experience Splashes has always been an unpleasant experience for myself. It's super greasy and the batter/crumb is awful. Never purchase fish of the day, we believe it's Basa. So if they mess your family meal up and give you the wrong fish you may receive Basa. Unsure what oil is used or if the deep fryer is cleaned enough, but the oil on the fish always makes me nauseous. I recently had the Spanish Mackerel grilled and it was much nicer than anything I've had so that's saying something. I suggest grilled over battered & crumb from Splashes.
Probably the best takeaway in Cairns. They seem to change their cooking oil regularly. Yummy.
We have recently moved to the area and have been fortunate to find this little gem where we can get really nice fish & chips at reasonable prices. Its out new "go to" for fish & chip nights. Great work guys!
Incredibly disappointed. I got a grilled fish burger and it didn't even come to Aussie standards missing the beetroot!? Since when in Australia do we have to ask for beetroot on a burger... thats the 2nd best part... annoying! And the burger was paper thin!!!??? Nothing on it.... thin piece of fish, a slice of tomato, and barely enough lettuce to notice anything green on there. It was more like a snack, not an Aussie burger. Wont be going back
superb fish and chips, most amazing crumb and served by a lovely lady at the front, very efficient on a busy Friday night, thank you for feeding us!
They stuff up your order every time and you never realise until you get home. Then they tell you they never charged you but if you do the sums you find out they have and I am not talking about missing 2 potato scallops or 1 prawn, my orders are for 4-5 people so always over $70, last time I was short 3 fish, the time before that it was 6 calamari and this time was a full hamburger. I swear they couldn't count to 10 even with a calculator. NEVER AGAIN
