Normally very good food and drinks. But on the 21st of February 2018 we were in the restaurant for dinner and had 4 main dishes. When we had finished our meals we were still a bit hungry. Because we don't eat desserts we ordered 1 portion of spicy wedges, which we love. But the waiter told us we cannot have the wedges in the restaurant. We wanted to complain to whom it may concern and the young waiter said he is the manager. Then we asked him for his boss and he said his boss is playing golf. So we gave the waiter our cellphone number and he said his boss will ring back. Until today nobody has rung back!!!

Pleasant staff. Noisy and echoing environment. My steak was very chewy. Couldn't taste the garlic on it and asked this to be rectified. They brought out more garlic sauce but still very bland. My partners thai beef salad was very chewy and bland too. After offering my honest constructive criticism, and I don't like to complain but something had to be said, 1 drink was deducted for the inconvenience.

Very friendly staff. Went for a family birthday and we were very impressed with how promptly our meals were brought to the table after ordering. Delicious meals and generous portions. Our only downside would be in our choosing to dine in on a Friday night. It was getting a bit noisy from the Friday night after work drinks crowd over at the bar, as the place is quite popular it got a bit loud with the chatter and sport on the screen.

The restaurant in 20% full, Saturday lunch time. And some activity is on in town...so quiet here. It took no less that 35 minutes for me to get Eggs Benedict...and I’m by myself. Lovely dish though, lovely home-made hash brown (I think). I didn’t like being told that a meal in a fast food would have come faster. Firstly because I haven’t eaten in a fast food in 14 years in Aotearoa, second because I only eat out in cafes and restaurants, and last because I worked in cafes. My take on it: too little staff in the kitchen or bad organisation.

Another good basic meal that is well prepared and presented. The beers are great and service is friendly. Go here about once every 6 months.
